Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (JAGPA) is an unregistered minor political party in Bangladesh. Its founder is Shafiul Alam Pradhan who formed the JAGPA on 6 April 1980 through a press conference at Baitul Mokarram. [1] [2]

The current president of this political party is Tasmia Pradhan. [3] The party is a member of the 18 Party Alliance. [4] On 31 January 2021, the registration of the JAGPA was rejected by Bangladesh Election Commission (EC). [5]

The Jatiya Party is a conservative, nationalist political party in Bangladesh and is currently the main oppositon in the Jatiya Sangsad, against the Awami League. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammad Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of the opposition. Currently, it holds Rangpur out of Bangladesh's 12 city corporations.

The Jatiya Party (Manju) is a political party in Bangladesh, led by Anwar Hossain Manju. It is a splinter group of the original Jatiya Party, that was founded by the military dictator Hussain Mohammad Ershad. It broke away from the original Jatiya Party in the late 1990s when Hussain Mohammad Ershad joined the BNP and Jamaat to form the 4 party alliance. 20 Party Alliance

The 20 Party Alliance is a coalition of Bangladeshi political parties led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party and other right wing parties. It was originally formed as the '18 Party Alliance' on 18 April 2012 in Dhaka, extending its predecessor the Four Party Alliance. The 20 Party Alliance is formed as an effort to strengthen the anti-government movement demanding restoration of the caretaker government system. The major rival of this alliance was the Grand Alliance led by Awami League which came into power after the election in 2008.

2018 Bangladeshi general election

General elections were held in Bangladesh on 30 December 2018 to elect members of the Jatiya Sangsad. The result was a landslide victory for the Awami League led by Sheikh Hasina.

Mahbubul Alam Hanif is currently a Member of Parliament in Bangladesh and the Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League. He is also a Bangladesh Awami League politician and businessman. He has been the incumbent Member of the Parliament from Kushtia-3 since 2014. He was elected the Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League in 2009. He worked at the Prime Minister's Office as the Special Assistant to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from 2009 to 2013. He has twice been elected as a Member of Parliament from Kushtia-3 constituency in the 10th and 11th general elections.

The Bangladesh Minority Janata Party is a political party in Bangladesh, focused on the rights of minority communities, formed in 2017.
