The Scientific Center of Kuwait, located in Salmiya, Kuwait, serves as a center for environmental education in the Persian Gulf region. KSC spans over 80,000 square meters with the building covering over 18,000 square meters. The center also houses the largest aquarium in the Middle East after Dubai, holding over 100 different species of animals. Along with the aquarium, it also contains an IMAX theatre, a harbor of historic dhows, and a gift shop among other contents.

In addition to the main aquarium building, attractions at Central Wharf include the Simons Theatre and the New England Aquarium Whale Watch. More than 1.3 million guests visited the aquarium each year prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miskan Island is a small, uninhabited island in the Persian Gulf off Kuwait. It is to the south of Bubiyan Island. It is about 1.2 kilometers long and 800 meters wide. The distance between it and Failaka Island, which lies to the south, is approximately 3.2 kilometers. The distance between Miskan and the nearest part of mainland Kuwait is about 24 kilometers. Miskan Island is devoid of any vital activity save a lighthouse managed by Ibrahem Bu-Rashid who lived in the island along with his family to guide ships sailing in the Arabian Gulf at night. This island is important because it is a link in a chain of islands along Kuwait's coastline from north to south, which provide Kuwait with a defensive frontline.

Dubai Meydan City is a new development under construction in the Ras Al Khor area of Dubai, UAE. The project was launched on the eve of the 2007 Dubai World Cup. The entire development will cover more than 40,000,000 square feet (3,700,000 m2) GFA on a land size of around 15,000,000 square feet (1,400,000 m2). Meydan city is expected to be completed in 2020, while Meydan Racecourse officially opened on 27 March 2010. The development includes hotels, sky-bubble restaurant, entertainment, clubs, a concourse plaza, IMAX movie theater, towers and a boat-house.
