Lake County is a county in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 232,603. The county was established on March 6, 1840, from land given by Cuyahoga and Geauga Counties. Its name is derived from its location on the southern shore of Lake Erie. Lake County is part of the Cleveland-Elyria, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area.

SolTrans was established in 2011 and is the result of a merger between Vallejo Transit and Benicia Breeze. The capital investment was 5.16 million dollars CAD. GreenTRIP, a provincial fund to assist public transportation projects, has contributed 3.44 million dollars CAD. The remainder will be divided 65-35 between the City and the County respectively. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 84,300.
