Lamurde is a town and Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria inhabited predominantly by the Bwatiye (Bachama) people.
The Lamurde Local Government was established on December 14, 1996, from the local government of Numan. Numerous local government areas in the state shares borders with it, including Taraba state to the west, Guyuk and Shelleng local government areas to the east, Gombe State to the north, and Numan local government to the south. The local government area is 1098 square kilometers in size, and it is located roughly between latitudes 10 24" west and 12 45" east, as well as 90 39" north and 90 11" south. The local government's population was 111.252 according to the 2006 census. Bwatiye (Bachama and Bata), Chobbo, Kwah, Waja, Lunguda, Mwana, Dadiya, Jenjo, Hausa, and Fulani are the ethnic groups present in the region. [2]
The rainy season in Lamurde is hot, humid, and overcast, whereas the dry season is hot and partially cloudy. Throughout the year, the temperature normally ranges from 61°F to 101°F, with temperatures rarely falling below 56°F or rising over 107°F. [3] [4]

Nasarawa State is a state in the North Central region of Nigeria, bordered to the east by the states of Taraba and Plateau, to the north by Kaduna State, to the south by the states of Benue and Kogi, and to the west by the Federal Capital Territory. Haɗejiya is a Hausa town in eastern Jigawa State, northern Nigeria. The population was approximately 105,628 in 2006. Hadejia lies between latitude 12.4506N and longitude 10.0404E. It shared boundary with Kiri Kasama Local Government from the East, Mallam Maɗori Local Government from the North, and Auyo Local Government from the West. The Hadejia Local Government consist of eleven (11) political wards namely: Atafi, Dubantu, Gagulmari, Kasuwar Ƙofa, Kasuwar Kuda, Matsaro, Majema, Rumfa, Sabon Garu, Ƴankoli and Yayari. Inhabitants are dominantly Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri with some other groups such as Tiv, Yoruba, Igbo, Igala etc. The dominant occupation of the inhabitants is crop-farming and animal rearing which a considerable percentage, engaged in trading, fishing and services including civil service. The people of Haɗeja are largely Muslims, although some follow indigenous belief systems. The town lies to the north of the Hadejia River, and is upstream from the Hadejia-Nguru wetlands. Hadejia is an internationally important ecological and sensitive zone.

Bacama (Bachama) is an Afro-Asiatic language spoken in Nigeria in Adamawa State principally in the Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Local Government Areas by the Bwatiye people. The Dialects are Mulyen, Opalo, and Wa-Duku. Bachama-Yimburu appears to be a closely related but distinct language. Bachama is used as a trade language. It is often considered the same language as Bata.
