Jiří Paroubek is a Czech politician, who was the prime minister of the Czech Republic from April 2005 to September 2006. He was also the leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party from 2006 until his resignation following the 2010 legislative election.
František Mrázek was a controversial Czech entrepreneur, often referred to as the "Godfather of Czech Organized Crime". Mrázek covertly influenced Czech politics for almost twenty years. In 2006 he was assassinated by a sniper. Most of the publicly available information about his criminal activities and contacts with the politicians leaked from police archives after his death. These sources suspect he was involved in over 30 murders.
Lucie Šlégrová, née Králová is a Czech dancer, model and beauty pageant titleholder. She won Miss Czech Republic 2005 and represented her country at Miss World 2005 but Unplaced.
Patrik Gedeon is a Czech footballer who plays for FC Chomutov, on loan from FK Dukla Prague. He has played international football for the Czech Republic.
Hubert Pilčík was a Czechoslovak serial killer. After the Second World War, Pilčík started smuggling people across the border from Czechoslovakia into West Germany. He started killing his customers in 1948, when he was in his fifties. After his capture, Pilčík killed himself in a prison in Plzeň. He was accused of five murders, although the exact number of his victims is unknown. It is possible he killed tens of people.
Presidential elections were held in the Czech Republic in January 2018. The first round took place on 12 and 13 January. As no candidate won a majority, a run-off election between the top two candidates, Jiří Drahoš and President Miloš Zeman, was held on 26 and 27 January 2018.

Incumbent President Milan Štěch doesn't seek reelection. It was the first time in the history of the Senate that more than 2 candidates run for the position. Senate factions usually came to an agreement about the new President in the past.

The Orlík Killers was a gang of Czech serial killers who, between 1991 and 1993, killed five people for monetary gain. One of the members committed a murder on his own and attempted another, but the victim in the latter attack survived.
Senate elections were held in the Czech Republic on 23 and 24 September 2022 alongside municipal elections. The election were won by the Spolu alliance consisting of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), KDU-ČSL and TOP 09 which won 20 seats. The ODS was the most successful party, winning eight seats.

Leopoldov prison uprising was the largest prison uprising in the former Czechoslovakia, which took place in 1990. The army was also deployed to suppress it. It was started by the amnesty of Václav Havel. It did not apply to all prisoners. The suppression of the rebellion drew admiration from foreign experts. Nevertheless, some journalists and politicians described the strike against priosoners as brutal, and the commander was dismissed.

It is about investigation of murders committed by serial killer Ladislav Hojer which was led by Jiří Markovič who was known for unorthodox investigative methods. Markovič himself collaborated with filmmakers before his death.
