The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards. She holds the record for collecting all three Maldives Film Awards for Best Actress in a feature film. In 2011, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition.

Fauziyya Hassan was a Maldivian film actress. She made her film debut in Sidha in 1985. In 1994 she was arrested by the Indian police on espionage charges relating to the Indian Space Research Organisation. She and a friend were accused of passing sensitive defence information to Pakistan. The espionage case against Hassan was not proven and eventually other charges were dropped, though she spent three years in prison under the National Security Act.

One of the most successful filmmakers in Maldivian Cinema, Faththaah is the recipient of a number of awards, including four Gaumee Film Awards, and two Maldives Film Awards. In 2004, Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. He is known for his romantically stylish film-making.

Moosa Manik commonly known as Chilhiya Moosa Manik was a Maldivian film actor and writer.

Waleedha Waleed is a Maldivian film actress, choreographer, director, seamstress and politician.

Aishath Shiranee is a Maldivian former film actress. Shiranee is the recipient of several awards, including one Gaumee Film Award and three Aafathis Awards. In 2001, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition.

Edhuvas En'buri Annaanenama is a Maldivian social drama television series written and directed by Fathimath Nahula. It stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Jamsheedha Ahmed and Mohamed Manik in main roles while Koyya Hassan Manik and Aminath Rasheedha appears in supporting roles. The series consisting of five episodes revolves around three friends who failed in love choose a destructive path and later hoping to redeem themselves.
