Wrestlers assigned to NXT primarily appear on the brand's weekly television program, NXT. It serves as a developmental brand for Raw and SmackDown, which are WWE's primary brands considered as the main roster. Due to its developmental status, NXT operates regardless if there is a brand extension in effect or not.

WWE Super ShowDown was a professional wrestling event produced by WWE, an American-based promotion. It was broadcast live and available only through pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE's livestreaming service, the WWE Network. The 2020 event was the last event held under the titular name, with the 2021 event ultimately getting postponed. Since then, there hasn't been any further events scheduled under the name.

It airs every Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on TNT in the United States, although major sporting events occasionally move it to an earlier or later time slot the same day or the next day as a special Saturday Night Rampage. The show premiered on August 13, 2021.
