This is a list of the largest airlines in Asia by fleet size and total passengers carried in a twelve-month period. The table is updated periodically as and when new monthly data are available. Figures are for individual airlines; aggregate figures for airline groups (airlines and their partners/subsidiaries related by full equity ownership) are shown only when they are officially published. The list excludes companies headquartered on the Asian side of Russia, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

AirAsia operates scheduled domestic and international flights to more than 166 destinations spanning 25 countries. Its main base is KLIA Terminal 2, the low-cost carrier terminal at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. Its affiliate airlines AirAsia Cambodia, Thai AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia, and Philippines AirAsia have bases in Phnom Penh, Bangkok–Don Mueang, Jakarta–Soekarno-Hatta, and Manila–Ninoy Aquino airports respectively, while its sister airline, AirAsia X, focuses on long-haul routes. AirAsia's registered office and head office is at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

PT Lion Mentari Airlines, operating as Lion Air, is an Indonesian low-cost airline based in Jakarta. Lion Air is the country's largest privately run airline, the second largest low-cost airline in Southeast Asia and the largest airline of Indonesia. With Wings Air and Batik Air, Lion Group is the country's largest airline's group. The airline operates domestic as well as international routes, which connects different destinations of Indonesia to Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, India, Japan and Saudi Arabia, as well as charter routes to Mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Macau, with more than 630 flights per day.

Air Arabia is an Emirati low-cost airline with its head office in the A1 Building Sharjah Freight Center, Sharjah International Airport, UAE. The airline operates scheduled services to 170 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, and Europe to 22 countries from Sharjah, 28 destinations in 9 countries from Casablanca, Fez, Nador, and Tangier, 11 destinations in 8 countries from Ras Al Khaimah, and 6 destinations in 4 countries from Alexandria. Air Arabia's main base is Sharjah International Airport. There are also hubs in Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi and focus cities in Alexandria and Casablanca.

AirAsia X, is a long-haul low-cost airline based in Malaysia, and a sister company of AirAsia. It commenced operations on 2 November 2007 with its first service flown from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, to Gold Coast Airport in Australia. AirAsia X flies to destinations within Asia, and Australia. The airline operates a fleet of 15 Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

West Airlines Co. Ltd., operating as West Air, is a low-cost airline based in New North Zone, Chongqing, China, operating a scheduled passenger network to domestic and international destinations out of its hub, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The company was established in March 2006 by its parent company Hainan Airlines, with the launch of scheduled services on 14 July 2010. The airline is one of the four founding members of the U-FLY Alliance.

GMF AeroAsia is an Indonesian company that specialises in aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul. The company serves the Asia-Pacific region and employs more than 4,000 people, and is based in Tangerang, Indonesia, it has many offices around the world. It services airplanes of many types and is one of the largest and leading aircraft maintenance facilities in Asia.

PT Batik Air Indonesia, operating as Batik Air, is an Indonesian scheduled airline based at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. The airline was founded in 2012 as the full-service arm of the Lion Air Group and made its maiden flight on 3 May 2013 from Jakarta to Manado and Yogyakarta. The airline is certified as a 3-Star Airline by Skytrax.

PT Lion Group, doing business as Lion Air Group, is a privately owned, airline holding company, based in Indonesia. The group consists of several airlines from Southeast Asia, currently Lion Air, Wings Air, Batik Air, Batik Air Malaysia, Thai Lion Air, and Super Air Jet. The Lion Air Group primarily competes with the Malaysian-based low-cost carrier, AirAsia and domestic competitor and national airline Garuda Indonesia.
