Lidové noviny is a daily newspaper published in Prague, the Czech Republic. It is the oldest Czech daily still in print, and a newspaper of record. It is a national news daily covering political, economic, cultural and scientific affairs, mostly with a centre-right, conservative view. It often hosts commentaries and opinions of prominent personalities from the Czech Republic and from abroad.
Television stations in Slovakia broadcast in both DVB-T format and DVB-T2 format. Broadcasting is mostly in the Slovak, state-owned channels have some dedicated broadcasting for ethnic minorities. Foreign language movies and shows are dubbed. Czech production is often broadcast in original, with the exception of juvenile programs. Sometimes, foreign language movies are broadcast with Czech dubbing. Czech television channels are also popular in Slovakia, received in paid DVB-T2 service, directly in border regions or carried by cable companies and satellite operators. Most of premium channels like Filmbox, HBO, Viasat Channels, etc. broadcast only in Czech. Discovery, Sport 1, Sport 2 and few others are exception, they broadcast in both Czech and Slovak.
Air-Transport Europe spol. s r.o. is a specialist Slovak airline based in Poprad. Using a business jet and a helicopter fleet, it undertakes personal transport, helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS), aerial works and contract helicopter services. It is also an authorised service centre for AgustaWestland and MIL helicopters. Its main base is Poprad-Tatry International Airport (TAT), with other bases at Košice International Airport (KSC), M. R. Štefánik Airport (BTS) Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, Nitra, Trenčín and Žilina. ATE is provider of 7 HEMS bases in Slovakia and 2 HEMS bases in the Czech Republic.

Vladimír Mathern was a Slovak jurist, law professor and the then rector of the Paneuropean University. From 1990 to 2003, he was a member of the Science institute of Comenius University. He was an author of many works and books. Mathern was born in Brezno on 13 December 1928, and died on 12 January 2014, at the age of 85.
Haló noviny is a newspaper published in the Czech Republic. It has close relations with the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia. The title of the newspaper follows the older titles, which has been published since 1929.
Osobnosť televíznej obrazovky, more commonly abbreviated as OTO, was a Slovak awards show recognizing the public figures and the work of popular culture in the country. Established by Art Production Agency (APA) in 2000, the television poll-based awards were voted on by the general viewing audiences. The annual ceremonies of the accolades were screened live by the national television network RTVS, usually in March for the previous calendar year.
Janko Kroner is a Slovak film, television and stage actor. Once a regular cast of the Slovak National Theater (SND) (1987–2009), Kroner began his acting career as part of the New Scene (1982–86). In the mid 1990s, alongside staging for his home theater, he gradually began appearing in a local VA-based ensemble called a.ha. In the most recent decade, he has been known as the frontman of the Malá scéna STU, a body supervised by Kroner through 2010-2011.
Iné kafe is a Slovak punk rock band. The group was established in 1995 in Bratislava. The singer, guitarist and songwriter Vratko Rohoň is the frontman of the band. Their 2000 album Je Tu Niekto? received Platinum status for 20,000 albums sold in Slovakia. In 1999 they signed a contract with the Universal Music Group/PolyGram.
