Fortum is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki stock exchange.

Wind power in the European Union Overview of wind power in the European Union

As of December 2017, installed capacity of wind power in the European Union totaled 169.3 gigawatts (GW). In 2017, a total of 15,680 MW of wind power was installed, representing 55% of all new power capacity, and the wind power generated 336 TWh of electricity, enough to supply 11.6% of the EU's electricity consumption.

ERG S.p.A. is a publicly listed Italian energy company, founded in 1938, and based in Genoa, Italy.

Wind power in Indiana was limited to a few small water-pumping windmills on farms until 2008 with construction of Indiana's first utility-scale wind power facility, Goodland with a nameplate capacity of 130 MW. As of September 2017, Indiana had a total of 1897 MW of wind power capacity installed, ranking it 12th among U.S. states. Wind power was responsible for 4.8% of in-state electricity production in 2016.

Between 2011 and 2015, BlaikenVind AB, a joint venture of Skellefteå Kraft and Fortum are building one of Europe's largest wind farms in northern Sweden. When finished, the park will consist of 90 wind power plants and have a total capacity of 225 MW. Blaiken wind farm, has been chosen as a demonstration plant by the EU's NER300 programme, one of the world's largest funding programmes for climate-neutral energy. The project meets the challenge of developing good solutions for efficient wind power production in a cold and icy climate.

Skellefteå Kraft

Skellefteå Kraft is a municipality-owned power company in Sweden. The company was established in 1908. It operates in Skellefteå, Lycksele, Storuman and Sundsvall in Sweden, and in Jakobstad in Finland. The company owns a number of hydroelectric power stations as also stakes in the Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant and Alholmens Kraft Power Station. In cooperation with Fortum, the company develops the Blaiken wind farm.

Uniper

Uniper SE [ˈjuːnipɚ] is an energy company based in Düsseldorf, Germany. The name of the company is a portmanteau of "unique" and "performance" given by long term employee Gregor Recke. Uniper was formed by the separation of E.ON's fossil fuel assets into a separate company that began operating on 1 January 2016. The company employs about 11,000 employees in over 40 countries. Around one third of the employees are based in Germany. It owns a subsidiary company in Russia called Unipro. Uniper is listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Its largest shareholder is the Finnish energy company Fortum with a 75.01% stake.
