This is a list of all public library systems in Georgia, United States, serviced under the Georgia Public Library Service. [1] Georgia has 62 library systems [2] consisting of 387 branches serving its 159 counties. [3] Out of these, 284 libraries are serviced by the state-wide library system PINES. [4]

Public Information Network for Electronic Services

The Public Information Network for Electronic Services is the nearly statewide library consortium and its online library catalog of the Georgia Public Library Service. By June 2017, the catalog consisted of books from 284 library facilities in 143 counties across the U.S. state of Georgia with a collection size of 10.6 million items, all of which are searchable by anyone with a PINES library card which can be obtained free of charge from any PINES-participating library.

Athens Regional Library System

The Mountain Regional Library System (MRLS) is a public library system consisting of four branches in Fannin County, Towns County, and Union County Georgia.

The Piedmont Regional Library System (PRLS) is a consortium of ten public libraries serving the counties of Banks, Barrow, and Jackson, Georgia.

The Elbert County Public Library (ECPL) is a public library system made up of two branches serving the population of Elbert County, Georgia.

The Greater Clarks Hill Regional Library System (GCHRL) is a consortium of eight public libraries working together to serve the populations of Columbia, Burke, Lincoln, and Warren counties in east Georgia.

Troup-Harris Regional Library

The Troup-Harris Regional Library (THRL) is a public library system serving the counties of Troup, and Harris, Georgia. The central library, LaGrange Memorial, is located in LaGrange, Georgia.

Pine Mountain Regional Library System

The Pine Mountain Regional Library System is a group of seven public libraries that serve Meriwether, Upson, Talbot, and Taylor Counties in Georgia. The library regional headquarters is located in Manchester, Georgia.

Oconee Regional Library System

The Oconee Regional Library System (OCRL) is a public library system that serves the counties of Glascock, Laurens, Johnson, Treutlen, and Washington Georgia. The headquarters for the library system is in Dublin, Georgia and the system serves a population of over 83,000 people across 2,011 square miles.

The Jefferson County Library System (JCLS) is a public library system in Jefferson County, Georgia. The system consists of three libraries, with headquarters in Louisville, Georgia.

Ohoopee Regional Library System

The Ohoopee Regional Library System is a public library system serving the counties of Jeff Davis, Montgomery, Tattnall, and Toombs, Georgia. The logo of the system features a vidalia onion, as the region is home to Vidalia, Georgia where the onions are grown.

Ocmulgee Regional Library System

The Ocmulgee Regional Library System (ORLS) is a public library system in Georgia serving Dodge, Bleckley, Pulaski, Telfair, Wheeler, Wilcox counties. The headquarters of the system is the Murrell Memorial Library which is located in Eastman, Georgia.

Houston County Public Library System

The library system is a member of PINES, a program of the Georgia Public Library Service that covers 53 library systems in 143 counties of Georgia. Any resident in a PINES supported library system has access to the system's collection of 10.6 million books. The library is also serviced by GALILEO, a program of the University System of Georgia which stands for "GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online". This program offers residents in supported libraries access to over 100 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. It also boasts over 10,000 journal titles in full text. Downloadable e-books and e-audios are available through GADD - Georgia Download Destination.

Lake Blackshear Regional Library System

The Lake Blackshear Regional Library System (LBRLS) is a public library system covering the four counties of Sumter, Crisp, Dooly, Schley, Georgia. The Lake Blackshear Headquarters Library is located in Americus. The system is also home to the second oldest Carnegie library in Georgia, located in Cordele.

Kinchafoonee Regional Library System

The Kinchafoonee Regional Library System (KRLS) is a public library system serving the counties of Calhoun, Clay, Quitman, Randolph, Terrell, and Webster, in the state of Georgia. The headquarters of the library system is the Terrell County Public Library in Dawson, Georgia.

De Soto Trail Regional Library System

The De Soto Trail Regional Library System is a public library system serving the counties of Mitchell, Baker and Early, in the state Georgia. The headquarters of the library system is the Camilla Public Library located in Camilla, Georgia.

The Lee County Library (LCL) is a public library system in Southwest Georgia, United States, located in Lee County. There are four branches associated with the system with the Leesburg library serving as the central headquarters.

The Coastal Plain Regional Library System (CPRL) is a public library system serving the counties of Ben Hill, Berrien, Cook, Irwin, Tift, and Turner in the state of Georgia. The Coastal Plains Headquarters Library is located in Tifton, Georgia.

Georgia Public Library Service

The Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) is the state agency for libraries in the U.S. State of Georgia and a unit of the University System of Georgia. The service was initially founded in 1996 after the inception of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), and in July 2000 moved from the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education (DTAE) to the Georgia Board of Regents and University System of Georgia. Julie Walker is the current State Librarian.
