Babulal Marandi is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was the first Chief Minister of Jharkhand and formerly Leader of the Opposition in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. He was also the founder and national President of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik), which he later merged with BJP. He was the Member of Parliament in 12th, 13th 14th and 15th Lok Sabha from Jharkhand. He was the Union State Minister (MoS) for Forests & Environment of India in the BJP – led National Democratic Alliance Government in 1998 to 2000. He was appointed as Jharkhand BJP president on 04 July 2023.

Nalin Niranjan Shetty Kateel is an Indian politician who was the 9th State President of Bharatiya Janata Party of Karnataka from 20 August 2019 till 10th November 2023 and Member of Parliament from Dakshina Kannada constituency since from 2009.

The organisation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is based upon the Constitution of the BJP. The organisation of the BJP is strictly hierarchical, with the president being the highest authority in the party. The party is considered to be a cadre-based party that draws from the Hindutva-based ideology of its parent organisation, the RSS.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">G. Kishan Reddy</span> Indian politician

Gangapuram Kishan Reddy is an Indian politician who is currently serving as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development of North Eastern Region of India. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party since 1980. He is an MP representing Secunderabad since 2019. He served as the floor leader of the BJP in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2009 and gave it up after being elected as the state BJP president of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. He was first state president of Telangana BJP from 2014 to 2016, appointed again as Telangana BJP president on 4 July 2023.

The elections in 2012 were scheduled for seven Vidhan Sabhas and several local elections were also conducted. The 14th presidential election to elect the 13th president of the republic was also held in 2012. The tenure of the legislative assemblies of Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand were to expire during the year. The Election Commission of India issued the dates for the elections in Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Goa to take place in the first quarter of the year. Whereas the elections were held in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat in the last quarter of the year.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Raghubar Das</span> Indian politician

Raghubar Das is an Indian politician who is serving as the 26th Governor of Odisha. Das has previously served as the sixth Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He was sworn in as the 6th chief minister of Jharkhand on 28 December 2014. He belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party and has twice served as the president of Jharkhand BJP.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">C. P. Radhakrishnan</span> Indian politician

C. P. Radhakrishnan is an Indian politician who is the 10th and current Governor of Jharkhand since 2023. He is also the Governor of Telangana & Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry since 20 March 2024, after the resignation of Tamilisai Soundararajan. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was elected to the Lok Sabha from Coimbatore twice. He was also the former state president of the BJP for Tamil Nadu.

Vasudev Sunil Kumar is an Indian politician. He is the member of the legislative assembly from Bharatiya Janata Party representing Karkala constituency. Before he served as Chief Whip of BJP Government in Karnataka Legislative Assembly. In November 2020, he was appointed the Co-Incharge of BJP in Kerala.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Tamilisai Soundararajan</span> 2nd Governor of Telangana

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan is an Indian politician belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party. She served as the second Governor of Telangana, and also served as Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry from 18 February 2021 to 18 March 2024. She was the National Secretary and Tamil Nadu State Unit President of the BJP prior to this appointment.

The North-East Democratic Alliance is a political coalition that was formed on May 24, 2016, by Bharatiya Janata Party. The motive of the new political front was to protect the interest of the people of the region as well as uniting non-Congress parties in Northeast India. Himanta Biswa Sarma was appointed as the convenor of the front.

Mmhonlümo Kikon is an Indian politician, poet, former social worker from Nagaland. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was the member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from 40 Bhandari Constituency in Wokha District.
