Little Brother Is Watching is the eighth studio album by recording artist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, released on February 24, 2015. [1] It is his first solo album of original material since 2008's Abnormal.
The first single from the album, "Little Brother Is Watching" was debuted on Yahoo! Music on January 28, 2015. [2] The album was composed, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by Bumblefoot himself in his in-home studio, and features Dennis Leeflang on drums. [3] [4]
Thal described the title track as "... a statement on where society is right now. How we live day to day, everything we do is on display, for better or worse. I think mostly for better, but sometimes for worse. This is the world we live in. Wikileaks... a police beating... our neighbor falling on his butt. Whatever it is, or something of us we want to put on display. We're watching each other and we're being watched" [5] [6] He later expanded "It comes from the old George Orwell book 1984 , there is a whole concept of government watching everything you do and it says “Big Brother is Watching You.” I thought about how that was what they predicted years ago. But, they didn’t predict that the people will get the technology and the people to do the watching, and that we will be able to watch over the government, watch each other, and will be exposing ourselves... and that makes us “Little Brother". [7] Thal described the album as having "more open space, melodies, harmonies, dynamics, & production." [8]
Thal stated that Queen, David Bowie, George Harrison & Iron Maiden were influences for the album, as well as Stevie Wonder, Manowar, and Guns N' Roses. [6] [7] [8] Thal mentioned going to a David Bowie exhibit at a museum in Brazil was the catalyst for him to start writing while on the road with Guns N' Roses. [8]
The song "Clots" described Thal's experience with a bleeding tumor and was the first song written specifically for the album. [6] [7] "Argentina" & "Don’t Know Who To Pray To Anymore" are songs Thal wrote with intention for collaboration with Guns N' Roses, but ended up using them for his solo album. [7] [9] [10]
On April 14, 2015, Billboard.com unveiled a music video for the title track, directed by Gabriella Loutfi. [9] [11] The video is set in 1984 BC and features Bumblefoot as a 'Middle Eastern ruler ultimately undone by future technology'. [9] The direction of the video was influenced by filmmaker Georges Méliès. [9] Thal mentioned in an interview the possibility of doing a "60's Sci-Fi Ed Wood inspired" music video for the track "Women Rule the World". [8]

Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994. The band includes guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren, lead vocalist David Draiman and bassist John Moyer. Donegan and Wengren have been involved in the band since its inception, with Draiman replacing original lead vocalist Erich Awalt in 1996 and Moyer replacing original bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak in 2004.

Sevendust is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and guitarist John Connolly. Chinese Democracy is the sixth studio album by the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, released on November 23, 2008, by Black Frog and Geffen Records. It was the first Guns N' Roses studio album since the 1993 covers album "The Spaghetti Incident?", and their first album of original studio material since Use Your Illusion I and II (1991). It languished in development hell for eight years, delayed by personnel and legal problems, label interference, and the perfectionism of vocalist Axl Rose. It was the first Guns N' Roses album without Izzy Stradlin, Slash, and Duff McKagan, and the first not produced by Mike Clink; instead it was produced by Rose and Caram Costanzo.

Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in March 1985 when local bands Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns merged. When they signed to Geffen Records in 1986, the band's "classic lineup" consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The song was written by vocalist Axl Rose, guitarists Robin Finck and Buckethead, drummer Brain, producer Caram Costanzo and engineer Pete Scaturro. It was included as the b-side to the single "Chinese Democracy".
"Better" is a song by American rock band Guns N' Roses, featured on their 2008 sixth studio album, Chinese Democracy. It was sent out as the second radio promo from the album, after "Chinese Democracy", but was not commercially released as a single eligible for international sales charts.
Ronald Jay Blumenthal, better known by his stage name Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal or simply Bumblefoot, is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He adopted his nickname from the bacterial infection of the same name, which he learned about while helping his wife study for her veterinary exams. The name went from being just the name of an album, to the name of a record label, to a band name, to eventually his name as a solo artist. He was one of two lead guitarists in Guns N' Roses from 2006 until 2014 and performed on their sixth studio album Chinese Democracy. He was the guitarist for the supergroup Sons of Apollo and currently with supergroup Whom Gods Destroy; and served as the guitarist and vocalist for the band Asia from 2019 to 2022.
Abnormal is the seventh studio album by recording artist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, released in July 2008. Abnormal is Thal's only solo release as a member of Guns N' Roses.

Appetite for Democracy 3D is a live concert film released in Cinemas, Broadcast and BD/DVD by Guns N' Roses, filmed live at The Joint at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas on November 21, 2012, on the tenth night of their residency, as part of the Appetite for Democracy tour in celebration of twenty-five years of Appetite for Destruction and four years of Chinese Democracy. This is the first live DVD release of Guns N' Roses since Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II in 1992. The show was filmed entirely in 3D and was produced by Barry Summers from Rock Fuel Media. The cover art features part of the original banned cover art from Appetite For Destruction. The album was officially revealed on May 29, 2014.
Art of Anarchy is an American rock supergroup formed in 2011, which currently consists of brothers Jon and Vince Votta on guitar and drums, Tony Dickinson on bass, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal on guitar and production, and Jeff Scott Soto on lead vocals. The band's first album, Art of Anarchy (2015), featured the late vocalist Scott Weiland. The second album, The Madness (2017), featured vocalist Scott Stapp (Creed). In 2020, the band replaced Stapp with Soto and began production on the 2024 album, Let There Be Anarchy.
The Not in This Lifetime... Tour was a concert tour by hard rock band Guns N' Roses, spanning from April 1, 2016, to November 2, 2019. It featured classic lineup members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, marking the first time since the Use Your Illusion Tour in 1993 that the three performed together. After the previous tour in 2014, guitarists DJ Ashba & Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, bassist Tommy Stinson and keyboardist Chris Pitman left Guns N' Roses, leaving the band with several open spots. Former members Slash and McKagan rejoined the band and Melissa Reese joined as keyboardist. The group embarked on a world tour that spanned all continents except Antarctica. They performed 175 shows making it their third longest tour ever, just behind the Use Your Illusion Tour and the Chinese Democracy Tour. The group welcomed former drummer Steven Adler to the stage for several shows as a guest spot, the first time he had played with the group since 1990. The tour has been a financial success, grossing over $584.2 million, making it the fourth-highest-grossing concert tour of all time. The tour was 2016's highest-earning per-city global concert tour as well as the fourth-highest-grossing overall that year. In 2017, the tour ranked as the second highest grossing worldwide tour. The tour was honored at the Billboard Live Music Awards in November 2017, winning Top Tour/Top Draw and being nominated for Top Boxscore.
