The Lower Chenab Canal is a canal in Pakistan. It was dug in 1892 and originates from Khanki Headworks, which is situated on the River Chenab in Gujranwala District. [1]

In some cases, a minor distributary can divert so much water from the main channel that it can become the main route.

Ajnianwala is a town of Sheikhupura (SKP), Punjab, Pakistan. It is 32 kilometres (20 mi) from SKP on Hafizabad Road. Ajinanwala dates back at least 500 years during the reign of Mughals, when a resistant movement led by Dulla Bhati was launched against Mughal king Akbar the Great. Before the partition of Indian subcontinent, the town had a considerable Sikh majority, who upon partition migrated to India. Gurdwara Ajnianwala is still intact but was allocated to migrants from Indian Punjab in 1947 which is now non-functional.
