Maguy Le Coze (born 1944) is a restaurateur and the co-owner of Le Bernardin in New York City. [2]

In 1972 she moved to Paris to open the first version of Le Bernardin with her brother Gilbert Le Coze. After receiving multiple Michelin stars in Paris between 1976 and 1981, Maguy and Gilbert opened a second Le Bernardin in New York in 1986. [3]

In 2013 Maguy became the first woman to receive a James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurateur. [4]

Sepia is a mid-sized, upscale restaurant run by owner Emmanuel Nony and Executive Chef Andrew Zimmerman located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Chef Zimmerman's menu is classified as New American cuisine, and focuses on local, seasonal products. Built in Chicago's Warehouse District, Sepia was originally a print shop from the 1890s. The renovation for the restaurant, designed by Gary Lee, included putting in a custom-tile, Art Nouveau floor and hand-crafted millwork in order to enhance the historical qualities of the building. Sepia also uses vintage stemware for their tables matching the vintage interior decor of the restaurant.

Gilbert Le Coze was a French chef known for his innovative methods in seafood preparation. Le Coze's cooking has been compared to Japanese cuisine and has influenced a generation of American cooks.

COTE Korean Steakhouse is owned and operated by Simon Kim, a Korean-American restaurateur. The first location was opened in the Flatiron District of New York City in 2017 and has been awarded one Michelin star and several accolades from the James Beard Foundation. COTE is the only Michelin-starred Korean barbecue restaurant in the world. COTE's second location opened in Miami Design District in February, 2021.
