Malik Knowles (born August 17, 2000) is an American football wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Kansas State Wildcats.
Knowles was born in Lynwood, California but grew up in Mansfield, Texas, where he lived with his aunt and uncle, and attended Lake Ridge High School. [1] He had 40 receptions for 846 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. [2] Knowles was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Kansas State. [3]
Knowles caught 10 passes for 100 yards and scored two touchdowns as a true freshman before redshirting the season. He had 27 receptions for 397 yards and three touchdowns and also returned six kickoffs for 222 yards and one touchdown during his redshirt freshman season. [4] Knowles finished his redshirt sophomore season with 13 receptions for 204 yards and three touchdowns, 100 rushing yards and one touchdown on six carries, and 11 kickoffs returned for 203 yards. [5] He caught 29 passes for 441 yards and four touchdowns and was named first team All-Big 12 Conference as a returner after returning 20 kickoffs for 662 yards and two touchdowns. [6] Knowles was named second team All-Big 12 as a receiving after catching 48 passes for 725 yards and two touchdowns and returned 23 kickoffs for 592 yards during his redshirt senior season. [7] After the season, Knowles declared for the 2023 NFL draft. [8]

Knowles was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2023, shortly after the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Draft. [11] He was waived with an injury designation from the non-football injury list on July 24, 2023. [12] After clearing waivers, he reverted to reserve list, [13] nonetheless, the team placed him on the injured reserve list.

Derrick Scott Alexander is an American college football coach and former wide receiver. He is the head football coach for Avila University, a position he has held since 2023. He played college football at the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1993 where he was selected as a first-team All-Big Ten receiver in both 1992 and 1993. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft and played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Cleveland Browns (1994–1995), Baltimore Ravens (1996–1997), Kansas City Chiefs (1998–2001), and Minnesota Vikings (2002). In 2000, he set a Kansas City Chiefs single-season record with 1,391 receiving yards.
William Percival Harvin III is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida Gators, who won the BCS National Championship in 2006 and 2008. A two-time first-team All-American, he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft. Harvin also played for the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. He was named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2009 and won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seahawks in 2013 over the Denver Broncos. He attended and played football for Landstown High School in Virginia Beach, where his team won the high school state championship in 2004.
Jordy Ray Nelson is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons with the Green Bay Packers and the Oakland Raiders. He played college football for the Kansas State Wildcats, receiving consensus All-American honors in 2007. He was selected by Green Bay in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft. During his tenure with the Packers, he won Super Bowl XLV with the team over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2010 season.
