Manoj Punjabi (born 7 December 1972) is an Indonesian film and television producer. Born in a prominent Indian-Indonesian entertainment business family, he co-founded and is the CEO of MD Pictures (Manoj Dhamoo Entertainment, named after him and his father and founded by them along with Manoj's wife Shania as MD Media), the largest film production house in Indonesia and the only domestic film company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Manoj produced KKN di Desa Penari (2022), the highest-grossing film of Indonesia and has produced 7 of the top 20 highest-grossing Indonesian films. He has also produced soap operas, music, animation and web content.

Punjabi is noted for his role in the revival of Indonesian horror in the 21st-century.

Family

Manoj Punjabi is of Indian Sindhi descent. [2] He is married to Shania Punjabi and has 3 children. His uncle is Raam Punjabi the owner of Multivision Plus, the family entertainment business before Manoj split to form form MD Pictures. [2]

Sewu Dino is a 2023 Indonesian horror film directed by Kimo Stamboel, based on Simpleman, a viral Twitter thread of the same name. The plot follows, Sri a young woman who accepts a generous job offer and is tasked to perform a cleansing ritual for Dela Atmojo, an unconscious girl who is suffering from the hex of 1000-days. The terror begins when her coworker neglects to finish the ritual. Failing to perform until the 1000th day will result in their demise.

Pernikahan Dini is an Indonesian romantic drama television series produced by Manoj Punjabi under MD Entertainment which premiered 23 September 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar. This series is an adaptation of the 1987 film with the same title. It stars Megan Domani and Randy Martin.
