Merlien Welzijn (born 20 December 1973) is a Suriname-born Dutch politician representing the New Social Contract who was elected to the House of Representatives in the 2023 Dutch general election. [1] Her focus is on housing and spatial planning. [2] Welzijn is of Surinamese descent. [3]
