Miss South Africa 2020 was the 62nd edition of the Miss South Africa pageant. The final pageant was held on 24 October 2020 in The Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town, with a 2-hour live broadcast being simulcast on M-Net and Mzansi Magic. The pageant was also televised live on YouTube to audiences around the world. [1] [2]

Sasha-Lee Olivier of Gauteng crowned Shudufhadzo Musida of Limpopo as her successor at the end of the event. [3] She will represent South Africa at Miss World 2021. Musida, being the winner, also received prizes in excess of 3 million rand, including a car and one-year free stay in the Miss South Africa official apartment, located in Sandton, Johannesburg. First runner-up Thato Mosehle received 250,000 rand and represented South Africa at Miss Supranational 2021, second runner-up Natasha Joubert received 100,000 rand and represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2020.

The Miss South Africa is a national beauty pageant in South Africa that selects South African representatives to compete in one of the Big Four international beauty pageants Miss Universe, and also selects another representative to participate in Sub-major international pageant Miss Supranational. The Miss South Africa organisation resorted to a contemporary format in selecting representatives which was inaugurated in 2018. The Voice South Africa is a South African reality singing competition and local version of The Voice first broadcast as The Voice of Holland. Its first season started on 31 January 2016 and proved to be a hit on M-Net. The second season started on 5 February 2017 on the same channel. The third season premiered on 3 February 2019.

Miss South Africa 2018 was the 60th edition of Miss South Africa. It was held on 27 May 2018 at the Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria. It was simulcasted as a live broadcast on M-Net and Mzansi Magic, and was hosted by Bonang Matheba. For the first time, two separate delegates were selected to represent South Africa at Miss World and Miss Universe, but only one was crowned Miss South Africa.

Miss South Africa 2019 was the 61st edition of the Miss South Africa pageant. It was held on 9 August 2019 at Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng. Tamaryn Green of Western Cape crowned her successor Zozibini Tunzi of Eastern Cape at the end of the event. Tunzi represented South Africa in Miss Universe 2019 and was crowned Miss Universe while 1st Runner-Up Sasha-Lee Olivier represented the country in Miss World 2019. Olivier assumed the title of Miss South Africa 2019 due to Tunzi winning the Miss Universe title.

She is the third woman from South Africa to win the title, and the first black woman since Leila Lopes of Angola was crowned Miss Universe 2011.

Puteri Indonesia 2020, the 24th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on 6 March 2020 at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Frederika Alexis Cull, Puteri Indonesia 2019, crowned her successor, Raden Roro Ayu Maulida Putri of East Java at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2020, where she placed among the Top 20 finalists.

Shudufhadzo Musida is a South African model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2020. She is the second title holder from the province of Limpopo - the first being Bokang Montjane. She is the first title holder whose first language is Venda, and was selected to represent South Africa in Miss World 2022. Musida is the first bald woman to win Miss South Africa. She is a dedicated advocate and spokeswoman for mental health awareness and empowering women and children.

Nova Stevens is a Canadian model, activist, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2020. As Miss Universe Canada, she represented Canada at Miss Universe 2020, making her the first woman of South Sudanese origin to compete at the pageant. Stevens is also a professional model and an activist for Black Lives Matter.

Miss South Africa 2021 was the 63rd edition of the Miss South Africa pageant. It was held on 16 October 2021 at the Grand West Arena, Cape Town. Shudufhadzo Musida crowned Lalela Mswane as her successor at the end of the event. She went on to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2021 and Miss Supranational 2022. She finished as second-runner up at Miss Universe 2021 and was later crowned as Miss Supranational 2022.

Miss South Africa 2022, the 64th edition of the Miss South Africa pageant was held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. Incumbent winner, Lalela Mswane of KwaZulu-Natal crowned Ndavi Nokeri of Limpopo as her successor. Nokeri will go on to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2022 where she placed as Top 16.

Anele Mdoda is a South African television presenter, radio personality, producer, businesswoman and author. Born and raised in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, Mdoda obtained a degree in Politics and International Relations at the University of Pretoria, her career began at the age of 20 in 2004 as a radio DJ.

Miss South Africa 2023 was the 65th edition of the Miss South Africa pageant, held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. Ndavi Nokeri of Limpopo crowned Natasha Joubert of Gauteng as her successor at the end of the event.
