The North West Senior League is the provincial cricket league within the North West Cricket Union jurisdiction in Ireland, which covers counties Londonderry, Fermanagh, and part of Tyrone in Northern Ireland and County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. The league has fifteen members. The season begins with the teams divided into two groups, and after playing each other once the top four teams from each group play off as the Premier League to determine the champions, while the remaining seven clubs play a separate competition. [1] It is sponsored by Long's Supervalu. Teams play each other twice per season, once at home and once away, each season, with two points awarded for a win and one for a tie or for “no result”.
The league began as the County Derry League from 1894 until 1897, when it stopped after only five teams entered. It resumed again in 1904. [2]
Sectarian attacks forced the City of Derry club to withdraw from the North West League at the start of the Troubles. [3]

County Londonderry, also known as County Derry, is one of the six counties of Northern Ireland, one of the thirty two counties of Ireland and one of the nine counties of Ulster. Before the partition of Ireland, it was one of the counties of the Kingdom of Ireland from 1613 onward and then of the United Kingdom after the Acts of Union 1800. Adjoining the north-west shore of Lough Neagh, the county covers an area of 2,118 km2 (818 sq mi) and today has a population of about 252,231.

The league was formed in 1897 and is currently divided into four sections, namely the Premier League, Sections 1, 2 and 3. It is sponsored by Robinson Services and marketed as the Robinson Services Premier League, Robinson Services Section 1, etc.
The Ulster Cup was a knock-out cricket competition in Ireland run jointly by the Northern Cricket Union and the North West Cricket Union. The top eight teams in the previous season's NCU Premier League and North West Senior League 1 were eligible to take part.

Coleraine Cricket Club is a cricket club in Coleraine, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, playing in North West Senior League Premiership. They are affiliated with the North West Cricket Union and Cricket Ireland. The Leinster Senior League is the provincial cricket league within the Leinster jurisdiction in Ireland, which covers the province of Leinster in the Republic of Ireland. The league was formed in 1919, the nine founding members being Phoenix, Leinster, Pembroke, Dublin University, Railway Union, Civil Service, U.C.D., County Kildare and the Royal Hibernian Military School. The league is currently divided into twenty divisions, the top two (senior) divisions are designated as the Premier League and the Championship. The Championship includes two member clubs from the Munster province: Cork County and Cork Harlequins.
