Olga Mercedes Zammitt OBE, JP, (born 31 August 1940) is a retired Gibraltarian teacher and former Mayor of Gibraltar. She held office from 1 August 2009 [1] to 31 July 2010. [2]

Zammitt was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2011 Birthday Honours for services to the community in Gibraltar. [3]

His retirement request was accepted on 18 March 2010. He died at St Bernard's Hospital, Gibraltar on 1 October 2010 following a bout of ill health.

Kaiane Aldorino Gibraltarian politician and beauty queen

Kaiane Loise Aldorino Lopez, GMH is a Gibraltarian politician, former Mayor of Gibraltar and beauty queen who won Miss World 2009. From 2017 to 2019, she held the ceremonial position of Mayor of Gibraltar, after previously serving as Deputy Mayor since 2014.

The Gibraltar Medallion of Honour (GMH) is a civil award scheme established by the Government of the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. Its creation was announced in July 2008 by Chief Minister of Gibraltar, Peter Caruana. It ranks below the Freedom of the City of Gibraltar.

Anthony "Tony" Lima MBE is a Gibraltarian politician, and former Mayor of Gibraltar. He was appointed to the office of deputy mayor on 1 August 2011 and to that of mayor on 1 August 2012. He was a former Customs Collector and Commanding officer of the Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) unit HMS Calpe.

Flat Bastion Road Road in Gibraltar

Flat Bastion Road is a road in Gibraltar, the British Overseas Territory at the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula. The road runs north-south, providing views of the city and Bay of Gibraltar. Previously known in Spanish as Senda del Moro, the traditional Llanito name for the road is Cuesta de Mr. Bourne.

Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club

The Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club, formerly the Gibraltar Yacht Club, was established by officers of the Royal Navy in 1829. It was one of the first yacht clubs founded outside of Britain. British monarchs and Gibraltarian governors have been patrons of the club; the first visit by a reigning monarch was in 1954. During the latter twentieth century, the naval presence waned and the membership of locals dominated. The club's sailing school was established in 2001, accredited as a teaching facility in 2004, and became a testing centre in 2010. The reclamation projects in the middle section of Gibraltar Harbour necessitated the club's move from 26 Queensway to temporary premises. A new facility is under construction.

Maroua Kharbouch is a Gibraltarian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Gibraltar 2013 and was named as the people's choice at Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia, earning her a place in the Top 6 finalists. She was the first Gibraltarian of Moroccan descent to be crowned Miss Gibraltar and the second Gibraltarian finalist at a Miss World beauty pageant.
