Oman national under-23 football team (also known as Oman Olympic, Oman U-23) represents Oman in international football competitions in the Olympic Games. The selection is limited to players under the age of 23 but the final tournament at the Olympics allows for the addition of up to three overage players. The team is controlled by the Oman Football Association.

Oman nearly made its first appearance in football at the Summer Olympics after earning an inter-confederation play-off match with Senegal for a chance qualify for the 2012 Olympics but a 0-2 loss eliminated them from the contention. [1]

The Japan national under-23 football team is a national association football youth team of Japan and is controlled by the Japan Football Association. Since 1992, it was decided that teams targeting athletes under the age of 23 will participate in the Olympics. The Asian Football Confederation's Pre-Olympic Tournament was the qualifying tournament for the 2012 Summer Olympics Football tournament in London. The competition commenced in February 2011 and was completed in March 2012.

The Egypt national under-23 football team, sometimes called the Egypt Olympic Team, nicknamed The Pharaohs, is the national team of Egypt Under-23 and is administered by the Egyptian Football Association. The team's main objectives are to qualify and play at the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations and Olympic Games. As of Paris 2024, players need to be born on or after 1 January 2001 to participate but the team may be supplemented with 3 over-age players.
