Lombardi's parents are from Italy. He married Sarah Engels, the runner-up of his season, on 1 March 2013. [2] Their son Alessio was born in 2015. [3] In October 2016, the couple announced their divorce. [4] Lombardi is now dating Laura Rypa starting in September 2020.[ citation needed ]

Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television.

"I Still Burn" was eventually certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and became Germany's 13th best-selling single of 2006. It was later included on Regner's debut album Straight (2006).
