Pinnacle Racing Group is an American professional stock car racing team that currently competes in the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, and in various Late Model Stock events. The team currently fields the No. 28 Chevrolet SS for Shane Van Gisbergen, Connor Mosack, and Connor Zilisch and the No. 82 Chevrolet SS for Carson Kvapil in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East.
Pinnacle Racing Group was founded on February 4, 2023, by Mark Webb and Jerry Webb in partnership with Shane Huffman and heads of Chevrolet's driver development program, Lorin Ranier and Josh Wise. [1] On March 1 they announced Shane's son, Landon S. Huffman (no relation to fellow driver Landon Huffman) would compete in their Late Model Stock Car for the season at Hickory Motor Speedway. Two days later on March 3, 2023, the team announced Luke Fenhaus would compete for the team full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East in 2023. [2] On January 2, 2024, the announcement was made that Shane van Gisbergen would compete for the team in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. [3]
The team made its ARCA Menards Series debut in the 2023 Calypso Lemonade 150 in a combination race with the East Series where they were competing full-time with Luke Fenhaus. They won the race after it went into overtime marking their 1st win in the National Series and 2nd with the East Series. [4]

The team made its debut in the ARCA Menards Series East in the 2023 Pensacola 200 with Luke Fenhaus behind the wheel, they would finish a strong 2nd to a debuting William Sawalich. The team would pick up another top 5 the next race at Dover with a 3rd and then in only their 3rd career start they won their first ever race at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in the Music City 200. [8] Two races later in a combination race with the East Series and the main ARCA Menards Series, marking their first start in that division, they won once again at Iowa Speedway in the Calypso Lemonade 150. [9]

Landon S. Huffman, son of team manager Shane Huffman, would run the teams Late Model Stock Car for the entire season at Hickory Motor Speedway. Huffman and the team would pick up their first victory on March 12 at Hickory in the 1st twin 40 race of the night. The team would later pick up their 2nd win on July 2 also at Hickory. [11]
Connor Mosack and Ross Chastain would also both race a LMSC for them at Hickory and North Wilkesboro respectively later in the season. [12] [13]
Shane S. Huffman is an American professional former stock car racing driver and current crew chief and team manager for Pinnacle Racing Group, which fields the No. 28 Chevrolet SS full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series.
Shane Robert van Gisbergen, also known by his initials SVG, is a New Zealand professional racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 97 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing in partnership with Trackhouse Racing, part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Kaulig Racing and the No. 91 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Trackhouse Racing, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 28 Chevrolet SS for Pinnacle Racing Group. He is known for his time racing in the Supercars Championship, last driving the No. 97 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 car for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He is a three-time Supercars Champion, winning driver's titles in 2016, 2021, and 2022. Landon D. Huffman is an American stock car racing driver and team owner. He currently competes full-time in the CARS Late Model Stock Car Tour, in the No. 37 Chevrolet Camaro for Jimmy Mooring Racing in a partnership with his own team Huffman Racing as well as part-time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, in the No. 98 for Shamrock Motorsports. Huffman has previously raced in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He is the son of Robert Huffman.

The Music City 200 is a 119.200-mile (191.834 km) annual ARCA Menards Series East race held at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee. The event has been part of the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East schedules and has come and gone from both throughout its history. Carson Wade Kvapil is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports. He is also part of the Drivers Edge Development program and is the son of 2003 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Travis Kvapil and older brother of Super Late Model driver Caden Kvapil.
The 2023 Calypso 150 was the 9th stock car race of the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season, the 5th race of the 2023 ARCA Menards Series East season, and the 17th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in Newton, Iowa at Iowa Speedway, a 0.875 mile (1.408 km) permanent quad-oval shaped racetrack. The race was originally scheduled to be contested over 150 laps, but was extended to 156 laps due to a NASCAR overtime finish. Luke Fenhaus, driving for Pinnacle Racing Group, would steal the win after taking advantage of the lead on the final restart, and held off William Sawalich to earn his first career ARCA Menards Series win, his second career ARCA Menards Series East win, and his third win of the season. Sawalich had dominated the entire race, leading 154 of the 156 laps until the caution came out with two laps to go. To fill out the podium, Sawalich, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, and Jesse Love, driving for Venturini Motorsports, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Connor Zilisch is an American racing driver. He is signed as a development driver for Trackhouse Racing as of 2024. Under that agreement, Zilisch competes in select races across multiple racing series, including the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the ARCA Menards Series, the CARS Tour, the Trans-Am Series, the IMSA SportsCar Championship and the Global MX-5 Cup.

The race was held on Friday, September 8, 2023, in Kansas City, Kansas at Kansas Speedway, a 1.5 miles (2.4 km) permanent quad-oval shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 100 laps to complete. In a wild race that saw only two drivers finish on the lead lap, Connor Mosack, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, would dominate the final portion of the race, and earned his first career ARCA Menards Series win. Mosack would lead a race-high 64 laps in dominating fashion. To fill out the podium, Carson Kvapil, driving for Pinnacle Racing Group, and Toni Breidinger, driving for Venturini Motorsports, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
The 2024 General Tire 150 was the fourth stock car race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season, the second race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series East season, and the inaugural running of the event. The race was held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Dover Motor Speedway in Dover, Delaware, a 1-mile (1.6 km) permanent asphalt oval shaped speedway. The race took the scheduled 150 laps to complete. In an action-packed race, Connor Zilisch, driving for Pinnacle Racing Group, would survive the chaos that occurred with the leaders, and dominated the final stages of the race, leading the final 42 laps to earn his first career ARCA Menards Series win, his first career ARCA Menards Series East win, and his first career win in total. Pole-sitter William Sawalich and Gio Ruggiero dominated the majority of the race, with Sawalich leading a race-high 67 laps and Ruggiero leading 41 laps. Sawalich was involved in an incident with under 50 laps to go, and was unable to continue the race, finishing 17th. Ruggiero rebounded from a late-race penalty to finish in 2nd. To fill out the podium, Carson Kvapil, driving for Pinnacle Racing Group, would finish in 3rd, respectively.
