Pratighaat is an Indian Assamese language action drama and romance film directed by Achinta Shankar, written by Rajdweep [1] and produced by Narendra N Sinha and Nalini Roy Gayari. [2] The film has been released under the banner of Issue Production and distributed by Norman Studio Works. The film features Amrita Gogoi and Diganta Hazarika in lead roles while Ashramika Saikia as child artist. It is scheduled to release on 6 December 2019 [3] [ needs update ]

The Prag Cine Awards North-East 2015 ceremony, presented by the Prag Network, honored the actors, technical achievements, and films censored in 2014 from Assam and rest of Northeast India, and took place on March 21–22, 2015, at the Chowkidingee field in Dibrugarh, Assam. This was the first time when films produced in other Northeastern states were also honored in this ceremony. Assamese actress Nishita Goswami and television host Nabish Alam hosted the show. Hiya Diya Niya is a 2000 Indian Assamese romantic drama movie directed by Munin Barua and produced under Pooja Motion Pictures. Music was composed by Zubeen Garg. It was released on 25 February 2000. This film marked Assamese's first film to be shot outside India.

Mahasamar is a 2013 Assamese drama film directed by Johns Mahaliya and produced by Hira Gohain. The film tells a story about deforestation. Director and producer claimed that they made the film to aware people against ruthless deforestation. The film was released in theatres on 22 November 2013.
