The Proton Lekiu is a series of concept SUV produced by the Malaysian automobile manufacturer, Proton. It was first displayed at the 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS 2010).
The name "Lekiu" refers to a legendary warrior from Malacca called Hang Lekiu. The car is a member of the Pahlawan series of Proton's concept cars, which are named after warriors. [1]
It was based on the Proton Exora MPV, but with some cosmetic modifications on it. This includes a slightly revamped front grill, front and rear bumpers, head and tail lights, and a completely redesigned tailgate. Fresh to the car was the newly-designed alloy wheels, which featured 14 spokes. It shared the same platform as the Exora, but the suspension was raised to give the Lekiu a more offroading-oriented outlook. [2]

The RESS was developed by Proton in order to meet the tougher global crash safety regulations through the application of heat treatment and Hot Press Forming (HPF) technology.

The Boyue received a facelift in 2022 and was sold alongside the Boyue X. The second generation Boyue called Boyue L was launched in October 2022 using the CMA platform.

The Proton X70 is a compact crossover SUV produced by the Malaysian car maker Proton. Marketed as a C-segment SUV, the car was launched on 12 December 2018, unveiled in a ceremony by then-prime minister and former Proton chairman Mahathir Mohamad. Being the first SUV released by Proton, it is conceived by rebadging the Geely Boyue, following the acquisition of Proton by Geely Automobile Holdings in 2017. The X70 is distinguishable from the Boyue by some design element differences and its right-hand drive configuration.
The Proton X50 is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by the Malaysian car maker Proton. Marketed as a B-segment SUV, the vehicle was revealed on 15 September 2020 and was launched on 27 October 2020. The model is the second SUV from the brand after the X70. The vehicle is a rebadged Geely Binyue with several changes, including the right-hand drive conversion and several mechanical adjustments.
