Ritwick Chakraborty is an Indian film actor who predominantly works in Bengali cinema. [1] [2] He made his debut with Pagol Premi in 2007.

Career

Chakraborty was associated with Bengali theatre from a very early age. As he grew older he became passionate about acting. After his initial struggle in the Bengali film industry he worked in a few television serials and telefilms. He debuted in the film Pagol Premi. [3] After which, he appeared in Anjan Dutt's cult film Chalo Let's Go , alongside in 2008, followed by Cross Connection with Rimjhim Mitra, Abir Chatterjee and Payel Sarkar, and Raj Chakraborty's Le Chakka , playing the second lead alongside Dev in 2010. He appeared in six films in 2013, and for Shabdo he won the Filmfare East Best Actor's award in 2014. Chakraborty also produced a 2021 Bengali web series named Birohi. [4]

Anirban Bhattacharya is an Indian actor, theatre actor, singer and director. His first successful theatre production was Debi Sarpamasta, written by Manoj Mitra, directed by Debesh Chattopadhyay. Nabarun Bose is an Indian keyboard player, composer and music producer from Kolkata, West Bengal. He made his debut as a music director in 2018 with the feature film Rainbow Jelly. Previously, he had directed music for the television film Loadshedding in 2015, and had scored the background music for many films and webseries including the short film Ahalya, Sharate Aaj, Kaali season 1 & season 2, Feluda, Bhalobashar Shohor, Mafia and many others. Mayurakshi is a 2017 Bengali film directed by Atanu Ghosh and produced by Firdausal Hassan & Probal Halder for Friends Communication. The music was composed by Debojyoti Mishra. The film won the award for Best Bengali feature film at the 65th National Film Awards.

Parineeta is a 2019 Indian Bengali romantic thriller film directed and produced by Raj Chakraborty under the banner Raj Chakraborty Productions. The film illustrates love break up, revenge urban love story and false allegations against men – with Subhashree Ganguly, Ritwick Chakraborty, Gaurav Chakrabarty and Falaque Rashid Roy. Adrit Roy plays a pivotal role in the film. The music of the film is composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee. The film was theatrically released on 6 September 2019. And it was launched on ZEE5 for online streaming. The film earned ₹2.3 crore worldwide and Subhashree received Best Actress at West Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards & Filmfare Best Actress award. The soundtrack Tomake sung by Shreya Ghoshal was one of the most popular Bengali songs of 2019 which also got best song award. Tomake lyrics was written by Arko.

Borunbabur Bondhu is a 2019 Bengali-language Indian film directed by Anik Dutta for Surinder Films. The film is based on a Bengali story Chhad written by Ramapada Chowdhury. It is the story of an old man, whose life faces upheaval after people come to know that a VVIP who was once his friend, is coming for a visit. Anirban Chakrabarty is an Indian Bengali film actor. Chakrabarti is known for portraying the character Ekenbabu in a web series. He also played the character Jatayu in a web series directed by Srijit Mukherji. Projapoti is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language family drama film directed by Avijit Sen, produced by Atanu Raychaudhuri, co-produced by Dev and distributed by SSR Cinemas. The film features Mithun Chakraborty, Mamata Shankar and Koushani Mukherjee in lead roles. The movie was theatrically released on 23 December 2022 and had its digital premiere on the streaming platform ZEE5 on 14 April 2023. Made on a budget of 1.5 Crores, it was a master hit at the box-office. The film was declared a blockbuster at the box office.

6th Edition of The WBFJA Award, also known as Cinemar Samabartan took place on 8 January 2023 honoring the best films of 2022.
