Sri Venkateswara Mobile and Electronics Manufacturing Hub [1] is a dedicated mobile handset and electronics manufacturing facility located at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, India. [2] [3] Its foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi along with Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and central minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on 22 October 2015. [3] It is spread over 120 acres and is expected to create 10000 jobs with an investment of 2000 crores. [2] The hub is also planned to facilitate manufacturers of Headphones and adaptors. [2]

Kuppam Airport is a public airport under construction at Kuppam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The greenfield airport will be built by the Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited. The airport is to handle only cargo operations. The project site is located at Shantipuram mandal, about 25 km (16 mi) from the proposed eight-lane Chennai–Bangalore Expressway, and will be built at an estimated cost of 100 crore in 1,000 acres (4.0 km2).

The 2019–2022 Amaravati protests simply known as Amaravati protests, are ongoing demonstrations in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh triggered by the idea of three capitals by Government of Andhra Pradesh, and the Expert panel, BCG committee reports. The demonstrations are against the Andhra Pradesh Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions Act, 2020, which allows the state government to establish three capitals at different locations. This led to concerns that the decision would create chaos and insecurity fears for farmers who gave their fertile agricultural lands to the government in 29 villages of Guntur and Krishna districts. The protests began in Mandadam, Thullur, Uddandarayunipalem on 18 December 2019. In a few days, the protests spread across Andhra Pradesh Capital Region, in Andhra Pradesh. On 17 December 2020, series of events were done to mark the protests' anniversary.
