Station Park is a transit-oriented development located in Farmington, Utah, United States. It borders the Farmington FrontRunner station. Centercal Properties developed and currently maintains Station Park. Amenities include approximately 100 stores, a fountain that is synchronized to music and lights, [1] an ice skating rink, a Hyatt Place hotel and a Cinemark theatre.

History

Haws Companies began to buy land for Station Park in 1996. Then they worked with Farmington city from 2000-2006 to develop the land before selling it to CenterCal properties in 2007. Development of Station Park began in 2008. [2] Station Park opened in 2011. [3]

In 2013 Haws Companies filed a lawsuit against Farmington city citing discrimination against Haws Companies and failure to follow through on previous agreements. [4] [5] In 2014 Haws Companies dropped the suit against Farmington city. [6]

Daybreak is a master-planned community spanning over 4,000 acres of land. The development was initiated by Kennecott Land, a subsidiary of the Rio Tinto Group, in South Jordan, Utah and construction started in 2004. In 2016, the remaining land was sold to Värde Partners, a Minneapolis-based investment firm, leading to the establishment of a new development company called Daybreak Communities, responsible for continuing the project. Notably, on April 12, 2021, the undeveloped portion of the community, comprising 1,300 acres, was sold to Larry H. Miller Real Estate. It is anticipated that the construction and expansion of the community will progress over about 20 years. Once completed, the Daybreak community could encompass over 20,000 residential units and approximately 9.1 million square feet of commercial space.

The City Creek Center (CCC) is a mixed-use development with an upscale open-air shopping center, office and residential buildings, fountain, and simulated creek near Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. It is an undertaking by Property Reserve, Inc. (PRI), the commercial real estate division of the Corporation of the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Taubman Centers, Inc. (TCI). The CCC integrates shopping and residential elements, with foliage-lined walkways and streams covering two blocks in the heart of downtown Salt Lake. PRI invested in the housing and parking elements of the mall, while TCI owns and operates the shopping center itself. The CCC opened to the general public on March 22, 2012. This shopping, office, and residential center encompass nearly 20 acres (8.1 ha) of downtown Salt Lake City. The City Creek Center is part of an estimated $5 billion sustainable design project to revitalize downtown Salt Lake City. The CCC project itself has been estimated to cost around $1.5 billion.

Gregory H. Hughes is an American politician who served as a member of the Utah House of Representatives representing District 51 from January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2018. Hughes is the former Speaker of the House for the House of Representatives in the state of Utah. In mid 2022, Vista Outdoor announced its intent to split into different companies with new names and stock symbol; One company will focus on sporting goods while the other will focus on ammunition and firearms accessories.
