The BC Lions are a professional Canadian football team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Lions compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and play their home games at BC Place.
Andre Trevor Ware is an American sports analyst and commentator and a former American football player. He was the 1989 Heisman Trophy and Davey O'Brien Award winner as a quarterback for the University of Houston. He was the first Black American quarterback to receive the Heisman. Young's #30 jersey is one of ten numbers retired by the BC Lions. In 2003, Young was voted a member of the BC Lions All-Time Dream Team as part of the club’s 50th anniversary celebration. In 2006, Young was voted to the Honour Roll of the CFL's top 50 players of the league's modern era by Canadian sports network TSN.

Douglas Keith Nussmeier is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the quarterbacks coach for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as an assistant coach at Florida, Michigan, Alabama, Washington, Fresno State and Michigan State. Travis Lulay is a former professional Canadian football quarterback. Lulay played ten seasons for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 2009 to 2018. In his first season as a full-time starter, Lulay won the CFL's Most Outstanding Player Award in 2011 and was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2011 Grey Cup. He played college football at Montana State. Prior to joining the Lions Lulay was a member of the Seattle Seahawks, Berlin Thunder and New Orleans Saints.

He formerly served as the Director of Player Personnel for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Colorado, earned All-American honors and won the Butkus Award as the top linebacker in America. He played professionally for the NFL's Detroit Lions from 1997-1999.

He played college football for the Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders under Pete Fredenburg and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL) in 2008.
