Total is an American R&B girl group and one of the signature acts of the Bad Boy Records imprint during the mid 1990s. The group consists of founding members Kima Raynor, Keisha Spivey, and Pamela Long. Total is best known for their feature on Mase's "What You Want", as well as their hits "Kissin' You", "Can't You See", and "What About Us?" and "Trippin'", both featuring Missy Elliott. Long also sung the chorus of the Notorious B.I.G.'s hit song "Hypnotize", although she was not officially credited. Total made their first appearance singing the hook on The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut single, "Juicy", widely considered one of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time.

Gigi is a 1958 American musical romantic comedy film directed by Vincente Minnelli and processed using Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's Eastmancolor film process Metrocolor. The screenplay by Alan Jay Lerner is based on the 1944 novella of the same name by Colette. The film features songs with lyrics by Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, arranged and conducted by André Previn. Costume design was done by Cecil Beaton.

NRG, acronym for New Radiancy Group, was a South Korean pop music group. Anugerah Juara Lagu, commonly known by the acronym AJL, is a popular annual music competition in Malaysia, organised by TV3 since 1986. Reruns of the show aired in the United States on the Cookie Jar Toons block on This TV, in syndication as part of the Cookie Jar Kids Network block, and on Light TV from December 22, 2016 to September 30, 2019. The series was produced by Cinar, with the PBS telecasts presented by Maryland Public Television from 1997 to 2001. The show's puppetry is in the style of Sesame Street, which led to some legal troubles with The Jim Henson Company in 2000. There were two FMV PC games based on the series. Treehouse TV also aired this show in reruns from 1999 to December 2005.
"Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku" is a song written by Izumi Sakai and Tetsurō Oda, originally recorded and released as the fourth single by Japanese rock band Field of View on March 11, 1996. The song serves as the opening theme to the anime series Dragon Ball GT, and the ending theme to the theatrical film Dragon Ball: The Path to Power. The single reached number four on the Oricon Singles Chart, and sold over 400,000 copies. Sakai released a cover of "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku" with her group Zard on their 1996 album Today Is Another Day.
"Song Sung Blue" is a 1972 hit song written and recorded by Neil Diamond, inspired by the second movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto #21. It was released on Diamond's album Moods, and later appeared on many of Diamond's live and compilation albums. The song was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States for one week, the week of July 1, and it spent twelve weeks in the Top 40. It also reached #14 on the UK Singles Chart.

Young Turks Club (영턱스클럽), also known as YTC, is a five-member Korean idol group that debuted in 1996. The group was produced by Lee Juno from Seo Taiji and Boys and had Lim Sung-eun, Song Jin-ah, Han Hyun-nam, Ji Joon-goo, and Choi Seung-min as its original members. As the word "turk" means "young dynamic person eager for change", their name Young Turks Club means "a group of active young people eager to change." On July 9, 1996, they made their debut stage on KMTV's Show! Music Tank with "Peek", the song didn't achieve success and failed to gain interest from the general public. They quickly changed to "Affection" a week later and rose to stardom. Their song "Affection" was their first release to become widely popular in Korea.
