The Bomb Factory Art Foundation is an artist-led foundation with exhibition space for contemporary art, based in Archway, Islington, London, England. [1] [2]

Turner Prize

The Turner Prize, named after the English painter J. M. W. Turner, is an annual prize presented to a British visual artist. Between 1991 and 2016, only artists under the age of 50 were eligible. Awarding the prize is organised by the Tate gallery and usually staged at Tate Britain, though in recent years the award ceremony has sometimes been held in other UK cities. State Britain

State Britain is an installation artwork by Mark Wallinger displayed in Tate Britain in January 2007. It is a recreation from scratch of a protest display about the treatment of Iraq, set up by Brian Haw outside Parliament and eventually confiscated by the police. Haw's display contained several hundred items donated by members of the public. As well as continuing the protest, Wallinger's recreation in a different context also brings up questions of authenticity. Wallinger won the Turner Prize in 2007 for this piece.

Zarina Bhimji is a Ugandan Asian photographer, based in London. She was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2007, exhibited at Documenta 11 in 2002, and is represented in the public collections of Tate, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and Moderna Museet in Stockholm.

Tate Etc. is an arts magazine produced within Britain's Tate organisation of arts and museums. Prior to the production of Tate Etc. the Tate produced eight issues in 2002 and 2003 of its forerunner, Tate Magazine, variously called Tate International Arts and Culture and Tate Arts and Culture. Founded by Simon Grant and Bice Curiger, Tate Etc. first appeared in the Summer of 2004, and issues have been produced 3 times a year. The masthead of the magazine carries the legend, "Visiting and Revisiting, Art etcetera."

The 2007 Turner Prize for modern British art was awarded on 3 December 2007. It was the 22nd Turner Prize competition. There were four nominees for the 2007 prize and the winner was Mark Wallinger.

<i>House</i> (sculpture)

House was a temporary public sculpture by British artist Rachel Whiteread, on a street in Mile End in East London. It was completed on 25 October 1993 and demolished eleven weeks later on 11 January 1994. The work won Whiteread the Turner Prize for best young British artist and the K Foundation art award for the worst British artist in November 1993.

Bermondsey Project Space is a not-for-profit art gallery in Bermondsey, South East London. It was founded in 2015 as Art Bermondsey Project Space and sponsored by Olympus in association with State/F22 magazine. Located in a 3,000 sq ft converted Georgian townhouse adjacent to the White Cube Bermondsey, the gallery hosts three exhibition rooms over three floors of this former paperworks. The gallery presents a programme of exhibitions, events and out-reach educational projects, producing a publication to accompany each show in support of the gallery programme. The World Turned Upside Down is a sculpture by the Turner Prize-winning artist Mark Wallinger, on Sheffield Street, London, within the campus of the London School of Economics. The name World Turned Upside Down comes from a 17th-century English ballad. The sculpture, measuring 13 feet (4 m) in diameter, features a globe resting on its North Pole and was unveiled in March 2019. It reportedly cost over £200,000, which was funded by alumni donations.

Archway Tavern Pub in Archway, London

The Archway Tavern is a pub in Archway, London, situated on Highgate Hill near Archway tube station. It was shut for many years because of a licensing dispute. It was briefly re-opened as the Intrepid Fox, and at one point operated as a venue called Dusk till Dawn, but has remained largely closed since then.
