The United States Post Office in Fairhope, Alabama, is a historic United States Post Office building built in 1932, in the Italian Renaissance Revival architectural style. [2] It currently houses the offices of the Fairhope Courier . The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. [1]

Fairhope Plantation is a historic Carpenter Gothic plantation house and historic district, located one mile east of Uniontown, Alabama, US. The 2+12-story wood-framed main house was built in the Gothic Revival style in the late 1850s. The plantation historic district includes six other contributing buildings, in addition to the main house. It was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on December 19, 1991, and subsequently to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 1992, due to its architectural and historical significance.

Johnson Jr. Federal Building and United States Courthouse is a United States federal building in Montgomery, Alabama, completed in 1933 and primarily used as a courthouse of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. The building is also known as United States Post Office and Courthouse—Montgomery and listed under that name on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1992, it was renamed by the United States Congress in honor of Frank Minis Johnson, who had served as both a district court judge and a court of appeals judge. The former U.S. Post Office in Hornell, Steuben County, New York, United States, is located on Seneca Street. It was built in 1916 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, James A. Wetmore. It is a neo-Georgian, Colonial Revival style structure. It was vacated by the post office in 1965 and served as offices for the Hornell Board of Education and District Administration until 1989. In 1996 it was purchased by Jerome S. O'Connor, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The post office was built in 1931; while files at the post office claim it was a Works Progress Administration building, the organization did not exist in 1931. The two-story brick building has a mansard-styled roof with a green slate exterior and dormers on the front and rear. The front entrance has a single-story portico supported by Doric columns. The building's roofline features a frieze, cornice, boxed eaves, and a parapet with a balustrade. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The U.S. Post Office, now known as the Springer Cultural Center, is a historic government building located at Randolph and Church Streets in Champaign, Illinois, United States. Built in 1905, the building originally served as Champaign's post office. The office of Supervising Architect James Knox Taylor designed the Beaux-Arts building. The brick building features extensive limestone and terra cotta ornamentation. The front facade has four pairs of Ionic pilasters separating the entrance and two sets of windows. A frieze reading "UNITED STATES POST OFFICE" and a dentillated cornice run above the pilasters. A balustrade runs along the front edge of the roof; a large scrolled cartouche marks the center of the balustrade. In 1966, the post office was converted to a federal building.

Tolstoy Park is a historic residence in Montrose, Alabama. The house was built by Henry Stuart, an Englishman who had emigrated to the United States as a child. Stuart was living in Nampa, Idaho, when he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and advised to move to a warmer climate to live out his days. In 1923, he purchased 10 acres outside Fairhope, Alabama, which he named Tolstoy Park.
