The Washington State University College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) is one of the 11 colleges of Washington State University that offer undergraduate and graduate programs. Established as Washington Agricultural College and School of Science, the college started instructions on January 13, 1892. The college is in Pullman, Washington, and became a land-grant college after the passage of Morrill Act. The college provides education, research and services through fifteen academic departments, four research and extension centers, and thirty-nine county extension offices across the state of Washington. The college is known for apple production, grape growers and small grain genetics and breeding. [2]

In the fiscal year 2008-09, the Agricultural Research Center of the college was awarded more than $33.5 million of grants and contracts for funded agricultural research. The Rausser College of Natural Resources (CNR), or Rausser College, is the oldest college at the University of California, Berkeley and in the University of California system. Established in 1868 as the College of Agriculture under the federal Morrill Land-Grant Acts, CNR is the first state-run agricultural experiment station. The college is home to four internationally top-ranked academic departments: Agriculture and Resource Economics; Environmental Science, Policy, and Management; Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology; and Plant and Microbial Biology, and one interdisciplinary program, Energy and Resources Group. The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is one of eight colleges at Virginia Tech with a three-part mission of learning, discovery, and engagement and it is one of the best agriculture programs in the nation. Sue Brannon Clark is an environmental radiochemist. Since receiving her Doctorate in Inorganic and Radiochemistry from Florida State University in 1989, Dr Clark has worked at Washington State University where she leads a research team on the chemistry and chemical engineering of processing nuclear materials. She has also held various leadership roles at WSU, including serving as Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Interim Dean of the College of Sciences.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources</span>

University of Connecticut College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources (CAHNR) is the oldest of UConn's fourteen colleges and teaches a wide range of subjects. The college was originally established for the purpose of conducting research and teaching practical skills to modernize farming. The college faculty conduct research, teach and work with Connecticut communities on subjects like food systems, plant and animal agriculture, human health, nutrition, and physical activity, and environmental sciences. The college describes its mission as working "toward a global sustainable future."
