Weberstown Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Stockton, California, United States. Opened in 1966, it is anchored by JCPenney, Sears, Dillard's, and Barnes & Noble. [2] Weberstown also features Victoria's Secret and its sister store, Pink, as well as Old Navy and Forever 21. It is owned and managed by Washington Prime Group.
Prior to 2022, Weberstown Mall was one of two enclosed shopping malls in Stockton, the other being Sherwood Mall, which is located next door. Sherwood was redeveloped into a conventional shopping center and was renamed Sherwood Place. As a result, Weberstown became the city's lone remaining enclosed shopping mall.
Charles M. Weber III built Weberstown Mall in 1966. [3] The original anchors were Sears and Weinstock's.
Old Navy opened one of its first locations at the mall in 1995, taking over a spot vacated by Pier 1 Imports. [4] In 1996, the Weinstock's store closed. Two years later, it was purchased by Dillard's to become that chain's first California location. [5] Barnes & Noble moved into the mall in 1997, replacing a store nearby. [6] A year later, Glimcher Realty Trust purchased the mall.
The mall's JCPenney store was slated for closure in 2000, but the decision to close was later overturned. [7]
H&M opened a store in Weberstown in 2014. It was shuttered in 2022.
Lloyd Center is a shopping mall in the Lloyd District of Portland, Oregon, United States, just northeast of downtown. It is owned by Arrow Retail of Dallas. The mall features three floors of shopping, with the third level serving mostly as professional office spaces, a food court, and U.S. Education Corporation's Carrington College. Lloyd Center also includes the Lloyd Center Ice Skating Rink, which has become the main draw for the mall. There are currently no anchors in the mall. There are vacant anchor spaces left by Macy's, Marshalls, Nordstrom, and Sears. Junior anchors include Barnes & Noble and Ross Dress for Less.
Springdale Mall is a shopping center located in Mobile, Alabama, United States, directly across from Bel Air Mall. Opened in 1959 as an open-air shopping center, Springdale Mall was later redeveloped as an enclosed shopping center. Facing competition from larger shopping centers in the area, Springdale was demolished in stages in the 2000s, with most of the former enclosed mall being replaced with big-box stores.
