It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The district runs along both sides of Main Street from the Scantic River south to the Edwards Cemetery. The district also includes areas west of Main Street to the Connecticut River, including properties along Ferry Lane. The district is located directly north of another historic district, Windsor Farms Historic District. The district encompasses a neighborhood of well-preserved largely folk vernacular buildings erected between about 1700 and 1860.

Broome County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. It is a massive 2+1⁄2-story structure, built on a raised foundation, in the form of a Latin Cross and topped with an elegant copper dome. Originally constructed in 1897–1898 in a "T" shape, the south wing was added in 1916-1917 to form the cross. It was designed by noted New York State architect Isaac G. Perry. The courthouse is located within the boundaries of the Court Street Historic District.

Court Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The district includes 87 contributing buildings and encompasses the historic downtown core of downtown Binghamton. The majority of the contributing structures are commercial buildings built between about 1840 and 1939. Ten and twelve story office buildings built in the 20th century are prominent features of the district. Located within the boundaries of the district are the separately listed Broome County Courthouse and Binghamton City Hall.
Railroad Terminal Historic District is a national historic district in Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The district includes 19 contributing buildings. Four of the buildings were directly related to Binghamton's rail passenger and freight operations, including the passenger station. Five buildings were built as warehouses, and ten were built to house retail activities with residential or office uses on the upper floors. The buildings were built between 1876 and 1910, with a major addition to one of them completed in 1932. This Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad passenger station, with its Italian Renaissance campanile, was built in 1901. For most years of passenger service to Binghamton, Delaware and Hudson Railway and Erie Railroad trains used a different station 150 yards away.

The district lies north of the central business district in an area long associated with small manufacturing and commercial establishments. The majority of the buildings were built in the late 19th or early 20th century and all but two are built of brick with an average height of four stories. Located within the district is the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse.

The district includes 241 contributing buildings, four contributing sites, one contributing structure, and one contributing object. It encompasses most of the village and includes residential, commercial, civic, and ecclesiastical buildings, a memorial park with monument, two cemeteries, and a stone arch bridge. Most of the buildings were built between 1840 and 1900.

Delaware County Courthouse Square District is a national historic district located at Delhi in Delaware County, New York. The district contains 18 contributing buildings and one contributing structure. It consists of a distinctive and unspoiled grouping of 19th century governmental, commercial, and religious structures built around the village green. It includes the county courthouse and clerk's office, the sheriff's office and jail, and a bandstand. It also includes the buildings surrounding the green. The 2+1⁄2-story brick courthouse building was designed by Isaac G. Perry and features a mansard roof. Also within the district are the Presbyterian church (1831) and Bank building (1838).

It encompasses the historic center of the village including residential, commercial, civic, and ecclesiastical buildings, centered on the village park. The buildings were built between 1812 and 1935, the majority between 1875 and 1900, and reflect a variety of 19th and early-20th-century architectural styles. Located within the district is the former Washington County Courthouse (1873) and the separately listed US Post Office-Hudson Falls. One of the oldest structures is a law office building constructed about 1810 and located at 177 Main Street. It is notable as having been the office for Henry C. Martindale (1780-1860) and his clerk, New York Governor Silas Wright (1795-1847).

Located in the district are the previously listed Goodwill Theatre, United States Post Office, and Your Home Library.
