The World University Squash Championship is the official international college competition in the game of squash conducted by the World Squash Federation (WSF), which was first held in 1996 in Maastricht in Netherlands.

The World Squash Federation (WSF) is the international federation for squash, an indoor racket sport which was formerly called "squash rackets". The WSF is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the International Federation (IF) for squash, and is also a member of the SportAccord and the Association of the IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF).

Until 2013, it was sanctioned by the then-International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and was one of several tournaments considered by the IBAF to be a minor world championship, and as such the results of the tournaments affected the IBAF World Rankings. For its men's world rankings, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) -- successor to the IBAF—now uses the results of WBSC's biennial 23U Baseball World Cup.
The World University Orienteering Championships (WUOC) is a biannual orienteering competition organized by International University Sports Federation (FISU). Entry is open to athletes aged 17 to 25 who are enrolled in university either the year of or the year after the competition. Representative countries must be members of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF).
The 2010 World University Rugby Sevens Championship will be the fourth edition of the World University Championship (WUC) for rugby sevens national teams. This event took place on July 21–24, 2010, in Porto, Portugal, at the Estádio do Bessa. Under the supervision of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), this championship will be co-organized by the Portuguese university sports federation (FADU) and the University of Porto, whose bid was chosen by the FISU Executive Committee on January 15, 2007, following a 15–6 ballot win against a French bid.

The World University Cross Country Championships is an international biennial cross country running competition for student athletes, organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The 2012 edition of the competition featured 76 male and 61 female athletes from 23 countries. Over the history of the event, 64 countries have competed but only three have been present at all editions of the championships.
The World University Cycling Championship is a competition sponsored by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), which was first held in 1978 in Antwerp, Belgium. Before 1978 there were also World University Championships, but these were not sponsored by the International University Sports Federation. The next edition will be held in Jelenia Gora, Poland in 2014. The championship last five days and could contain events in five cycling sports: road cycling, track cycling, mountainbike, BMX and Cyclo-Cross.

Cycling athletes from universities all over the world competed in their disciplines to become World University Cycling Champion.

The 2016 World University Cycling Championship was the 7th edition of the World University Cycling Championship. The tournament was hosted by the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP), sponsored by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The championship proper took place in Tagaytay, Philippines from March 17–20, 2016 with the opening ceremonies held on March 16. It is the first FISU World University Cycling Championship to be held outside of Europe and the first in Asia.
