The project was touted as a way to "improve the environment by getting more Angelenos out of their cars and into the region's growing subway,light rail,and bus services." Measure S,originally known as the Neighborhood Integrity Initiative,was considered by voters in the city of Los Angeles in the March 7,2017,election.
