Fiesta Inn is a Mexican business-class hotel brand. [1] [2] It is owned by Grupo Posadas, Inc., which also owns other Mexican hotel brands, including the upscale Fiesta Americana and Fiesta Americana Grand, ultra-luxury Live Aqua, One, and the eco-tourist Explorean. There are 61 hotels operated under this brand throughout the country.
Many Fiesta Inn hotels have received recognition for their high quality, both by government and independent organizations. A recent example or government recognition is the Distintivo H award awarded by the Mexican federal Secretariat of Tourism to the Celaya Fiesta Inn in 2009, [3] as well as a Fiesta Inn in the State of Querétaro which received that same award in 2010. [4] As for non-governmental evaluators, TripAdvisor ranks the Fiesta Inn in Mexicali as the leading hotel in that city. [5] The Fiesta Inn Tollucan in Toluca has received a rating of 3 diamonds from the American Automobile Association.
Fiesta Inn was launched as the business traveler oriented brand of Grupo Posadas in 1982. [6] The Fiesta Inn in Mexico City was damaged during protests in connection with the 2012 inauguration of Mexico's new president. [7] On December 21, 2012, Standard & Poor's Rating Services raised the rating of the global scale corporate credit rating of the parent company to 'B' and stated that several of the parent companies brands, including Fiesta Inn, are "well-recognized in the country [Mexico]." [8]
News reports are stating that the parent company is considering building a new Fiesta Inn in Silao, Guanajuato. [9]
Guadalajara International Airport, officially known as Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Guadalajara International Airport, is the main airport of Mexico's second-largest city Guadalajara. Opened in 1966, it is located 16 km south of the city center. In 2020 it handled 8,094,115 passengers, and 12,243,000 in 2021. It is Latin America's sixth and Mexico's third-busiest airport, after Mexico City International Airport and Cancún International Airport, and second-busiest for cargo flights.
A piñata is a container, often made of papier-mâché, pottery, or cloth, that is decorated, filled with candy, and then broken as part of a celebration. Piñatas are commonly associated with Mexico. The idea of breaking a container filled with treats came to Europe in the 14th century, where the name, from the Italian pignatta, was introduced. The Spanish brought the European tradition to Mexico, although there were similar traditions in Mesoamerica, such as the Aztecs' honoring the birthday of the god Huītzilōpōchtli in mid-December. According to local records, the Mexican piñata tradition began in the town of Acolman, just north of Mexico City, where piñatas were introduced for catechism purposes as well as to co-opt the Huitzilopochtli ceremony. Today, the piñata is still part of Mexican culture, the cultures of other countries in Latin America, as well as the United States, but it has mostly lost its religious character.

Beer in Mexico has a long history. While Mesoamerican cultures knew of fermented alcoholic beverages, including a corn beer, long before the Spanish conquest, European style beer brewed with barley was introduced with the Spanish soon after Hernán Cortés’s arrival. Production of this beer here was limited during the colonial period due to the lack of materials and severe restrictions and taxes placed on the product by Spanish authorities. After the Mexican War of Independence, these restrictions disappeared, and the industry was permitted to develop. Furthermore, the arrival of German immigrants and the short-lived empire of Austrian Maximilian I in the 19th century provided the impetus for the opening of many breweries in various parts of the country.
Grupo Modelo is a large brewery in Mexico that exports beer to most countries of the world. Its export brands include Corona, Modelo, and Pacífico. Grupo Modelo also brews brands that are intended solely for the domestic Mexican market and has exclusive rights in Mexico for the import and distribution of beer produced by Anheuser-Busch. Until the 1960s, Grupo Modelo used red poppy flowers in most of its advertising.

Grupo Posadas SAB de CV or Posadas is a hospitality company based in Mexico City. It owns, leases, operates and manages hotels, resorts and villas with its several different brands. As of 2020, the company operates more than 150 hotels with 24,000 hotel rooms.

On 7 May 2013, a tanker truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas lost control and ran into several cars and houses before it exploded on Federal Highway 85 in San Pedro Xalostoc community in Ecatepec de Morelos, Mexico. 27 people were killed and more than 30 injured as a result of the accident. The resulting fires damaged 45 homes and 16 vehicles.
Officially named as "The Hits Tour" during 2014 and later renamed as "Deja Vu Tour" in 2015, is a series of concerts performed by Mexican artist Luis Miguel to perform a brand new setlist consisting of his earliest hits as well as his most recent hits included in productions such as México En La Piel (2004) and Luis Miguel (2010). Even though, in 2014 the USA Tour advertising mentioned it as "Tour 2014" and the Sudamerican advertising as "The Show" these were not the tour official names. Along with the tour start date the single "Deja Vu" came out, it can be inferred that this is the reason why the tour was renamed as "Deja Vu".
