The Pearl Island in Doha, Qatar, is an artificial island with an area of nearly four square kilometers. It is the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals. As of 2018, there were 27,000 residents.

Mukawwa Island is a small shore island of the Red Sea, at the northern entrance to Foul Bay in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt.

Qaruh Island is an island belonging to the state of Kuwait, which received its name from the large amounts of petroleum sediments in the area. It is the smallest of the nine islands, and also the furthest island from the Kuwaiti mainland. It is located 37.5 kilometres east of the mainland coast, and 17 kilometres northeast of Umm al Maradim. The island is roughly 275 meters long by 175 meters at its widest (area about 3.5 ha. The island was also the first part of Kuwaiti soil that was liberated from Iraq during the Gulf War on January 21, 1991.

Al Shamal is a municipality in the state of Qatar. Its seat is called Madinat ash Shamal and it is considered to be one of the major cities in Qatar, although the population is barely over 8,000. The seat's name translates to "city of the north".

Al Khor is a coastal city in northern Qatar, located 50 kilometres north of the capital, Doha. Considered one of Qatar's largest cities, it is the capital city of the municipality of Al Khor. The name of the city means creek in Arabic; it was given this name because the original settlement was built on a creek.

Al Thakhira is the second largest settlement in the municipality after Al Khor City.

Al Khor Island, also known as Jazirat bin Ghanim and Purple Island, is an island located in the municipality of Al Khor on the northeast coast of Qatar. It accommodates the only archaeological site in the country attributable to the second millennium BC. There are four main periods of occupation on the island, dating from as early as c. 2000 BC to as late as 1900 AD. The island is best known for being the site of operation of a Kassite-controlled purple dye industry in the second millennium BC.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Halul Island</span> Place in Qatar

Halul Island is one of the most important islands belonging to the State of Qatar. Lying about 90 km (56 mi) northeast of Doha, it serves as a storage area and loading terminal for oil from the surrounding offshore fields. One of the main bases for the Qatari Navy is located in Halul. The Coasts and Borders Security also have a base of operations on the island.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ras Rakan</span>

Ras Rakan is the northernmost point in the Qatari Peninsula, located in Al Shamal. It is the north-western point of an islet called Jazirat Ras Rakan, but as the channel between this islet and the mainland is not passable for boats, Jazirat Ras Rakan may be regarded as forming the northern extremity of the promontory.

Jazirat Ziadi is a Yemeni island that is located in the Red Sea. It is considered an 'Uzlah (sub-district) of Al-Makha District, Taiz Governorate.

Jazīrat Al Aki‘āb is an island in Umm Al Quwain, an emirate of the United Arab Emirates. It is one of seven islands located in the emirate, and people visit it to engage in a variety of activities such as birdwatching, camping, diving, snorkeling and other recreational ventures.
