Elo is an unincorporated community located in the town of Utica, Winnebago County, Wisconsin, United States. [1] Formerly known as Utica Center, the community was given its current name when the Elo post office was established in February, 1869. [2]

It was named for the historic Winnebago people, a federally recognized Native American tribe now known as the Ho-Chunk Nation. Chief Oshkosh was a leader in the area.
