...In Shallow Seas We Sail is the fourth studio album from post-hardcore band Emery that was released on June 2, 2009, through Tooth & Nail Records. [8] The tracks "The Smile, The Face" and "Edge of the World" were previously released on Emery's 2008 EP, While Broken Hearts Prevail . The first track off of the record, "Cutthroat Collapse", was released as a digital download on April 7, 2009. The album debuted at number 50 on the Billboard 200. On June 20, 2009, the album hit number 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart.

Emery is an American post-hardcore band formed in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in 2001 by Toby Morrell, Devin Shelton, Matt Carter, Josh Head, Joel Green, and Seth Studley. The band relocated to Seattle in order to reach a more music-centered scene.
Thousand Foot Krutch was a Canadian Christian rock band formed in Peterborough, Ontario, in 1995. The band has released eight studio albums, two live albums, and three remix albums. The core members consist of founding member Trevor McNevan, Steve Augustine (drums), and Joel Bruyere.
If Only You Were Lonely is the second studio album by American rock band Hawthorne Heights and the final album to feature rhythm guitarist and unclean backing vocalist Casey Calvert before his death on November 24, 2007. The Classic Crime is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 2004. The band's current lineup consists of Matt MacDonald, Alan Clark (bass), Robert "Cheeze" Negrin (guitar), and Paul "Skip" Erickson. They have released three albums and an EP on Tooth & Nail Records, two of which, The Silver Cord (2008) and Vagabonds (2010), charted in the Billboard 200. In July 2011, the band left Tooth & Nail to produce a fourth album with the help of fan donations via Kickstarter, called Phoenix (2012). After the success they found in the crowdfunding approach with Phoenix, the band continued using Kickstarter as a means to fund their albums, subsequently releasing What Was Done: Vol. 1 in 2014, How to Be Human in 2017, Patterns in the Static in 2020, and Grim Age in 2023.

Lost in the Sound of Separation is the sixth studio album by American rock band Underoath. It was released on September 2, 2008, through Solid State and Tooth & Nail Records. Following the release of their fifth studio album Define the Great Line (2006), relationships between members became strained to the point they almost broke up. They decided to go on a hiatus; Lost in the Sound of Separation was recorded at Glow in the Dark Studios in Atlanta, Georgia in March and April 2008. The band produced the album with Adam Dutkiewicz and Matt Goldman, both of whom worked on Define the Great Line. The album has been described as metalcore, post-hardcore and screamo, with elements of industrial, recalling the works of Refused, At the Drive-In, and Cult of Luna.
While Broken Hearts Prevail is an EP by rock band Emery that was released on October 28, 2008. Musically the album returns to heavier sound found on Emery's debut album The Weak's End instead of the alternative sound on the band's previous release I'm Only a Man.

In January 2009 the band started writing Anywhere but Here, working with several co-writers. The band signed to Atlantic in March 2009. Later that month, the band started recording at House of Loud in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. The album's production was handled by producer David Bendeth. "The Silence" was released as a single in August and was followed by Anywhere but Here, released through Fearless Records, a couple of months later. They take their name from 1 Kings 17:6, a verse that references Elijah receiving bread and meat from ravens while in the wilderness.

Their third album, You Can't Kill Us, was independently released on November 25, 2016. Their fourth album, Amorphous, was released on February 19, 2021, also independently. Their fifth independent studio album, The Reckoning, was released on September 30, 2022.
