100 Awit Para kay Stella is a 2025 Philippine musical romantic drama film written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana. It is the sequel of the 2017 film 100 Tula Para Kay Stella . [2] It stars Bela Padilla, JC Santos and Kyle Echarri. [3]
The film begins with Fidel Lansangan mourning the death of his father. However, his company did not give him the chance to grieve, which led him to resign.
Stella Puno is now the CEO of Rainstar, a company that specializes in hosting events exclusively for single individuals. She meets Clyde Pelayo outside one of the events she is managing. Clyde is struggling to decide which song to release as his debut single. He asks Stella to choose which one she prefers. The song Stella picks becomes a hit, launching Clyde’s career and turning him into a star.
Sandra, Fidel's mother, invites him to stay at her house since he has nowhere to go. However, Fidel overhears his stepbrother saying he does not want to share a bed with him. Hurt, Fidel walks out and decides not to stay at Sandra’s house. Meanwhile, Clyde is preparing to promote his upcoming single at a Rainstar event. Because Stella’s team expects a much larger crowd due to Clyde’s appearance, they decide to book a bigger venue at the last minute. They secure a place called Bale Ganaka, which happens to be owned by Fidel.
During the event, Clyde tries to court Stella. He invites her on stage and sings his new single, “Lipstick Na Itim.” Stella begins to suspect that Fidel might be the real songwriter behind Clyde’s music. Fidel hears Clyde performing and sees Stella on stage. Overwhelmed, he tries to leave, but as he opens the door, he runs into Stella and Clyde. It is revealed that Clyde and Fidel are actually friends, and Fidel admits to Clyde that he and Stella were college classmates.
The next morning, Stella returns to Bale Ganaka to meet Fidel again. She tells him they plan to rent the place once more for Clyde’s next event. She asks for a discount and then invites Fidel out to eat. While dining, Stella directly asks if Fidel is the one writing Clyde’s songs, but he denies it. At the next event, Clyde sings another new song, again with Stella on stage. This time, the lyrics clearly resemble something about Stella, making her emotional. She runs offstage in search of Fidel. When she reaches his tent, she asks again if he wrote Clyde’s songs. Fidel still denies it. Determined, Stella searches through his notebook, finds proof, and asks Fidel to sing for her. He does, and when Stella asks if he is still in love with her, Fidel admits he is. They then rekindle their relationship and become lovers.
Clyde, needing four more songs for his album, asks Fidel to write them and even offers him a vacation so he can focus. Fidel invites Stella to join him, and the two travel to Rizal province. During their trip, they reminisce about their past and laugh about the 100 poems Fidel once wrote. While Fidel is working on a new song, he shares part of it with Stella. She comments that it is perfect for Clyde’s album, but Fidel reacts angrily, explaining that he wrote it for himself because it was time to prioritize his own voice over others. Stella, hurt, says she does not want to repeat another traumatic relationship like the one she had with her ex-husband Von. She reveals that Von was abusive and was the reason their baby, Ulan, died.
After their vacation, photos and posts of the two trend on social media, drawing negative attention that eventually forces Rainstar to close. Clyde confronts Stella, who accuses him of exploiting Fidel’s work. When Clyde asks if Fidel admitted the truth, Stella says he didn’t have to, because she already knew from the beginning that the songs were about her. Clyde then confronts Fidel about the songs he wrote during the vacation. Fidel plays the unfinished track, and Clyde asks if he confessed to Stella. Fidel insists it is time for Clyde to write his own songs. Clyde accuses Fidel of breaching their contract. Afterwards, Fidel joins the Philippine Stuttering Association, where he meets others with the same speech condition. There, he declares that he will now fully embrace his flaw.
Days later, Clyde meets Stella again and apologizes for what happened to Rainstar and for the negative publicity. He asks Stella to organize an event to promote his upcoming album. At the event, Clyde performs his songs, and for the final act, he dedicates his last piece to his father and to Fidel. He calls Fidel on stage to sing with him. Stella, watching from the crowd, is moved to tears. When Fidel begins to sing, Stella breaks down, runs outside, and Fidel follows. Outside, Fidel thanks Stella for everything, saying that if he hadn’t met her, he would never have experienced love or all the things that completed his life. He adds that he no longer needs anything more. Stella, crying, asks, “Even me?” Fidel replies, “Yes, even you.” Stella then hugs him tightly, as if it were their final embrace.
In the film’s conclusion, Stella goes to a bar where Von is drinking with two other women. She confronts him, declaring that she is no longer his wife. She then walks out smiling, relieved, and twirls in the rain, free at last.

Philip Cu Unjieng of Manila Bulletin gave the film a positive feedback and wrote; 100 Awit Para Kay Stella is a film with no neat resolution, reminding us that, as so often in real life, there are no neat endings. But it leaves us with hope, and the chance for renewal. Let’s see if it’ll become a trilogy. [16]
Fred Hawson of News.ABS-CBN.com also gave the film a positive review and he said that; JC Santos and Bela Padilla fit very comfortably back into their characters, quirks and all. The fans in the audience react gleefully to their undeniable chemistry together. [17]
