10 Inner Harbor is a cancelled skyscraper project in downtown Baltimore at a site overlooking the Inner Harbor at the corner of Light Street and West Conway Street. [1] The site is currently the site of 414 Light Street (Baltimore), a luxury apartment building with ground-floor retail; prior to that, it was a McCormick & Co. spice lot.
The project, expected to cost between $200 and $300 million, would have featured between 150 and 200 luxury condominiums, a 225-room hotel, restaurants, shopping, and office space, with about 1600 parking spaces. The site is adjacent to Camden Yards, the Baltimore Convention Center and Harborplace. With a planned height of 715 feet (218 m) and 59 floors, it would have been the tallest building in Baltimore, the tallest in the state of Maryland, and the tallest between Philadelphia and Charlotte, North Carolina, usurping these titles from the nearby 40-story Legg Mason building built in 1973. [2] The 1,500,000-square-foot (140,000 m2) project was developed by Arc Wheeler and designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects.
The proposed site was scheduled to be sold at foreclosure auction in early November 2010. ARC Wheeler's subsidiary, Spice Lot Business Trust, recently defaulted on a $23 million loan made in 2006 to purchase the site and construct the building. [3]
85 Sky Tower, formerly known as the T & C Tower or Tuntex Sky Tower, is an 85-story skyscraper in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The structure is 347.5 m (1,140 ft) high. An antenna increases the pinnacle height to 378 m (1,240 ft). Constructed from 1994 to 1997, it is the tallest skyscraper in Kaohsiung, and was the tallest in Taiwan until the completion of Taipei 101 in 2004.
The Burj Al Alam was a proposed 108-story, 510 m (1,670 ft) hyperboloid skyscraper in the Business Bay area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, though the project's roots are in a 101-storey design called "Fortune 101" and slated for the Dubai Marina area. It was designed to resemble a crystal flower. If constructed, it would have become one of the world's tallest buildings. The tower was one of the projects of the Fortune Group, which has a number of other projects in Dubai such as the Fortune Bay and Fortune Tower.

Transamerica Tower and originally built as the "USF&G Building", serving as headquarters of the United States Fidelity and Guarantee Company, a specialized insurance company founded in Baltimore in 1896, and relocated here from its former complex of three adjoining early 20th Century masonry structures at the southwest corner of South Calvert and Redwood Streets. Later occupied by and known as the Legg-Mason Building, it is a 40-story, 161 m (528 ft) skyscraper completed in 1973 in downtown Baltimore, Maryland at 100 Light Street on the city block bounded by South Charles, East Lombard, Light and East Pratt Streets, facing the former "The Basin" of the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore on the Northwest Branch of the Patapsco River and the newly iconic Inner Harbor downtown business waterfront redevelopment of the 1970s–1980s.
The Soleil Center was a planned 43-story skyscraper and condo-hotel planned for Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It was cancelled as a result of the drop in hotel demand during the Great Recession and the land was sold at foreclosure and a Westin Hotels & Resorts was constructed on the site.
300 East Pratt Street was a proposed hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. The building was originally expected to rise 640 feet (200 m). Construction of the building was to begin in 2007 and was expected to be completed in 2010. The construction of this building was proposed in 2003, though, it was never approved by the state of Maryland. In 2006, the construction of the building was again proposed, and finally approved by the state of Maryland. The building is being built where the Hearst Production Building once stood. Plans are now scaled back to 40 stories and 300,000 square feet of office space, in addition to a 270-room hotel. 300 East Pratt Street is located in Baltimore, MD between Commerce and South streets, housed the former Baltimore News-American building. It has been vacant and used for a parking lot for decades. However, parking lot owner InterPark LLC purchased the site in August 2013 after a redevelopment plan proposed by Urban America LP in 2006 fell apart during the recession.
Legg Mason Tower is a 24-story glass high-rise located at 100 International Drive in Baltimore's Harbor East development. Completed in May 2009, the 650,000-square-foot (60,000 m2) waterfront skyscraper was developed by Harbor East Development Group, and reaches a height of 360.5 feet (109.9 m). It was designed by Beatty Harvey Coco Architects with HKS Architects, and is situated at the edge of the city's Inner Harbor. This Class-A office building serves as the new headquarters for asset management firm Legg Mason, which moved from what was the Legg Mason Building at 100 Light Street.
Commerce Place is a high-rise in Baltimore, Maryland. The building rises 31 floors and 454 feet (138 m) in height, and stands as the fifth-tallest building in the city. The structure was completed in 1992. Commerce Place's project architect and lead designer was architect Geraldine Pontius of RTKL Associates, a Baltimore-based architectural and engineering firm; the structure is an example of Postmodern architecture. 23 of the building's 31 floors are used for commercial offices, while six are used for parking. The remaining two floors are used as retail space.
100 East Pratt Street is a building located on Pratt Street in the Inner Harbor district of Baltimore, Maryland that consists of a ten-story concrete building finished in 1975 and a 1991 glass and steel twenty-eight story tower.
HarborView Condominium is a residential high-rise in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The building, which is a part of the HarborView complex, rises 29 floors and 342 feet (104 m) in height, and stands as the 16th-tallest building in the city. The structure was completed in 1993 and was built on the site of the old Bethlehem Steel Shipyards graving dock which was demolished in 1983. HarborView Condominium was designed by architectural firms Design Collective, Inc. and SHK3 Architectural Interdesign.
Inner Harbor East, now more recently referred to more commonly as simply as Harbor East, is a relatively new mixed-use development project in Baltimore, Maryland, United States along the northern shoreline of the Northwest Branch of the Patapsco River, which is the Baltimore Harbor, and its Inner Harbor. Major tenants of Harbor East include the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel on Aliceanna Street, between the Waterfront Promenade on the west and to the east is the President Street Boulevard and the Katyn Forest Massacre Memorial (monument) in the International Drive circle at the south end.. Also, the new Legg Mason Tower, in which the famous financial services firm moved from the central downtown is located across the street. A Four Seasons Hotel opened in November 2011.
