The 16th Santosham Film Awards [lower-alpha 1] was an awards ceremony held at Hyderabad, India on 26 August 2018 recognized the best films and performances from the Tollywood films and music released in 2017, along with special honors for lifetime contributions and a few special awards. [1] [2] The awards are annually presented by Santosham magazine. The ceremony was announced on 3 August 2018 with Srikanth being the chief guest. [3]

Tamanna Bhatia, credited as Tamannaah Bhatia, is an Indian actress who primarily works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema. She has appeared in over 80 films. She has won two Santosham Film Awards, a SIIMA Award, and has received the Kalaimamani Award.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jaya Prakash Reddy</span> Indian actor (1946–2020)

Jaya Prakash Reddy was an Indian actor who predominantly appeared in Telugu films. Born in Sirvel of Andhra Pradesh, he came into the limelight with the film Samarasimha Reddy (1999) where he played the role of Veera Raghava Reddy. He acted as an antagonist in several films such as Jayam Manade Raa (2000) and Chennakesava Reddy (2002). Later in his career, he was also featured in many comic roles. He died at his home in Guntur on 8 September 2020, at an age of 74, from massive cardiac arrest. He was honoured with Special Jury Award (Alexander) for his contribution to Tollywood at the 16th Santosham Film Awards.

Venkata Prabhu Prasad, known professionally as Saptagiri, is an Indian actor and comedian who works in Telugu films. He received Nandi Award as Best Male Comedian for his role in Express Raja (2016). He received Santosham Allu Ramalingaiah Smarakam Award at 15th Santosham Film Awards in 2017.

Tamannaah Bhatia is an Indian actress known for her work in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema. She debuted as a leading lady in the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2005. That same year marked her Telugu debut with Sree, followed by her Tamil debut in Kedi the subsequent year. She experienced a breakthrough in her career with the success of Happy Days and Kalloori in 2007, portraying college students in both films. F2: Fun and Frustration is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language comedy film written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film stars Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Mehreen Pirzada. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The plot follows two men who try to control their dominating wives after getting married.

The 18th awards ceremony was scheduled to be held in September 2020, which was cancelled to due to COVID-19 pandemic in India.

The ceremony recognized the best films and performances from the Tollywood and other Indian language films and music released between 2021 and November 2022, along with special honors for lifetime contributions and a few special awards. The awards are annually presented by Santosham Magazine.

The 22nd Santosham Film Awards, officially known as Santosham South Indian Film Awards 2023, was an awards ceremony held at Panaji, India on 2 December 2023. The ceremony recognized the best films and performances from the Tollywood and other Indian language films released in 2023, along with special honors for lifetime contributions and a few special awards.
