Eesha Rebba (born 19 April 1990 [1] ) is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Telugu films. She is known for her roles in Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha (2013), Bandipotu (2015), Ami Thumi (2017) and Awe (2018).

Early life

Eesha Rebba was born in a Telugu-speaking family in Warangal, [2] and was brought up in Hyderabad. [2] She holds an MBA. Rebba worked as a model during college, after which she received an audition call from director Mohana Krishna Indraganti. [1]

Career

Rebba made her debut in 2012 with the film Life Is Beautiful. She then made her first appearance in a lead role in the film Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha . The film was successful at the box office and was nominated for Best Film at the International Indian Film festival in South Africa. [3]

Her performance in the romantic-comedy film Ami Thumi received wide response and fetched her two awards. [4] [5] Rebba played the character of a lesbian woman in the film Awe (2018). Critics praised her performance in the film. [6] [7] Later, the same year she acted in four other films Brand Babu , Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava , Subrahmanyapuram and Savyasachi . She made her Malayalam cinema debut in 2021 with the film Ottu . [8] She learned archery and kickboxing for her role in the film. [9]

Raagala 24 Gantallo is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language murder mystery directed by Srinivasa Reddy starring Satya Dev, Eesha Rebba, Sriram, Ganesh Venkatram and Musskan Sethi. The film features an ensemble cast of Amala Paul, Ashwin Kakumanu, Eesha Rebba, Jagapati Babu, Satyadev, Lakshmi Manchu, Ashima Narwal, Saanve Megghana, Sanjith Hegde and Shruti Haasan, amongst others. The film was produced by RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment. The film premiered on Netflix on 19 February 2021. It is Netflix's first Telugu original film.

<i>Shaakuntalam</i> 2023 film directed by Gunasekhar

Shaakuntalam is an 2023 Indian Telugu-language historical romantic drama film written and directed by Gunasekhar. It is produced by Neelima Guna under Gunaa Teamworks and distributed by Sri Venkateswara Creations. Based on a popular play Abhignyana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa, the film features Samantha in the title role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru dynasty along with Mohan Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Madhoo, Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in supporting roles. In the film, Shakuntala and King Dushyant marry, but Dushyant forgets all about Shakuntala due to a sage's curse.

<i>Ottu</i> (film) 2022 film directed by Fellini T.P.

Ottu is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film written and directed by Fellini T. P., shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil languages. It was produced by August Cinema and The Show People. The film stars Kunchacko Boban, Aravind Swamy, Jackie Shroff, and Eesha Rebba. The Malayalam version was released theatrically on 8 September 2022, while the Tamil version was released on 23 September 2022.
