Oyee is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Francis Markus. The film stars Geethan Britto and Eesha Rebba in lead roles, while Papri Ghosh, Nagineedu, Arjunan, and Sangili Murugan play supporting roles. The soundtrack album and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja. [2] [3] with cinematography by Yuga H and editing by Manikandan. The film was released on 8 April 2016.

The film is based on the 2004 South Korean romantic comedy Too Beautiful to Lie . [4]

Production

Reports emerged in March 2015 that Geethan Britto and Eesha Rebba would come together for a project titled oyee [5] which would be based on Drama which formed the script of Francis Markus, [6] while Himself would direct it. [7] The team signed up Isaignani Ilayaraaja to compose the film's music. [8] [9] [10]

The film was shot extensively in Pollachi, some portions in Chennai. [11] [12] The film is releasing in theaters on 08.04.2016. [13] [14] [15] [16]

Soundtrack

The soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The audio was launched by Kamal Haasan on 22 January 2016. [17]

The film had been a leading production studio in the Tamil film industry in the 1990s, but has struggled following the switch to digital film-making. The studio has made eleven films, all of which have music composed by Deva.
