The winners of the Merit Awards, the Kei Tomiyama Award, the Kazue Takahashi Award, and the Synergy Award were announced on February 15, 2022. He has voiced in a number of lead roles in anime shows, including Kazuya Kujo in Gosick, Yoshiharu Sagara in The Ambition of Oda Nobuna, Kon Hokaze in Ixion Saga DT, Hachiman Hikigaya in My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, William Twining in Devils and Realist, Yuuji Terushima in Haikyuu!!, Takeo Gōda in My Love Story, and Loid Forger in Spy × Family. He won the Best New Actor Award at the 6th Seiyu Awards, and the Best Lead Actor Award and Most Valuable Seiyū Award at the 17th Seiyu Awards. He won Best Voice Actor in the Newtype Anime Awards 2015. She voiced Futaba Ichinose in Seiyu's Life!, Megumin in KonoSuba, Emilia in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, Takagi-san in Teasing Master Takagi-san, Mash Kyrielight in Fate/Grand Order, Mirai Asahina/Cure Miracle in Mahō Girls Precure, Ai Hoshino in Oshi no Ko, and Hu Tao in Genshin Impact. She performed theme songs for the same series. She won the Best Female Newcomer at the 10th Seiyu Awards.

The 10th Seiyu Awards was held on March 12, 2016 at the JOQR Media Plus Hall in Minato, Tokyo.

The 11th Seiyu Awards was held on March 18, 2017 at the JOQR Media Plus Hall in Minato, Tokyo. The winners of the Merit Awards, the Kei Tomiyama Award and the Kazue Takahashi Award were announced on February 21, 2017. The 13th Seiyu Awards was held on March 9, 2019 at the JOQR Media Plus Hall in Minato, Tokyo. The winners of the Merit Awards, the Kei Tomiyama Award, the Kazue Takahashi Award, and the Synergy Award were announced on February 19, 2019. The rest of the winners were announced on the ceremony day. This year, there were four new award categories, which include the Foreign Movie/Series Award, the Game Award, the Influencer Award, and the Most Valuable Seiyu Award.

The 14th Seiyu Awards (声優アワード) were announced on March 7, 2020 by Nippon Cultural Broadcasting. The winners of the Merit Awards, the Kei Tomiyama Award, and the Kazue Takahashi Award, were announced on 18 February 2020. The ceremony was originally scheduled to be held at the Bunka Housou Media Plus Hall, but was cancelled during COVID-19 pandemic. The results were instead announced on the Chou! A&G radio program.

Gen Satō is a Japanese voice actor from Kanagawa Prefecture who is affiliated with I'm Enterprise. He is known for his roles as Chrome in Dr. Stone, Rintarō Futsu in Stars Align, Fumiya Tomozaki in Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki, and Sōsaku Yubiwa in Pretty Boy Detective Club.

Kanata Aikawa is a Japanese voice actress from Hyōgo Prefecture who is affiliated with Music Ray'n. She began her activities as a voice actress in 2020 after passing an audition held by Music Ray'n, and is part of their third generation of voice actresses. She is known for her roles as Suzu Narumiya in Idoly Pride and Ai Ohto in Wonder Egg Priority.

Hinaki Yano is a Japanese singer and voice actress from Hyōgo Prefecture who is affiliated with Sony Music Artists. She began her career as an idol under Stardust Promotion in 2008, and in 2010 she became a member of Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku. Following her departure from the group in 2011, she became a member of various idol groups and bands. After starting a voice acting career, she was cast as Yu Takasaki in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club in 2020. She is also known for her roles as Momoe Sawaki in Wonder Egg Priority, Suzune Miyama in Selection Project, and Kitasan Black in Uma Musume Pretty Derby.

Reiji Kawashima is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with Aoni Production. He is best known for voicing Fushi in To Your Eternity and Patrick / Ricky in Shadows House.

The 17th Seiyu Awards was held on March 11, 2023, at the JOQR Media Plus Hall in Minato, Tokyo. The winners of the Merit Awards, the Kei Tomiyama Award, the Kazue Takahashi Award, and the Synergy Award were announced on February 21, 2023. The rest of the winners were announced on the ceremony day. Starting this year, "Best Lead Voice Actor," "Best Supporting Voice Actor," and "New Voice Actor" will no longer be separated by gender.
