It is given in honor of an actress who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role while working within the Television industry. The 1st Hum Awards was held in 2013 with Mahira Khan winning the award, who was honored for her role in Shehr-e-Zaat. The award has commonly been referred to as the hum for Best Actress Jury or Best Drama Actress Jury.
