This was Balmain club's only loss in the shortened season.

South Sydney 11(C. Blinkhorn, B. Wearing, O. Quinlivan Tries; Horder Goal) defeated Eastern Suburbs 3 at Sydney Sports Ground.

Glebe 27 defeated Eastern Suburbs 7 at Sydney Cricket Ground.

The 1913 Eastern Suburbs DRLFC season was the 6th in the club's history. Competing in the New South Wales Rugby Football League's 1913 Premiership and by finishing the season at the top of the ladder, won their 3rd consecutive title. The club was therefore awarded the Royal Agricultural Society Shield permanently.

The 1909 New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership was the second season of Sydney's top-level rugby league football competition, Australia's first. Eight teams contested during the season for the premiership and the Royal Agricultural Society Challenge Shield; seven teams from Sydney and one team from Newcastle, New South Wales.

The 1936 Eastern Suburbs DRLFC season was the 29th in the club's history. Coached by Arthur Halloway and captained by Dave Brown, they competed in the 1936 NSWRFL Premiership, becoming only the second team to go through a season undefeated and winning their 7th minor premiership. They then went on to reach the Premiership Final, defeating Balmain and claiming their 6th title.

Eastern Suburbs competed in the 11th New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) premiership in 1918.

The 1940 Eastern Suburbs DRLFC season was the 33rd in the club's history. Coached by Dave Brown and captained by Ray Stehr they competed in the New South Wales Rugby Football League's 1940 season, finishing the season in 1st place and successfully defeating Canterbury-Bankstown in the final to claim their 8th premiership.

The 1941 Eastern Suburbs season was the 34th in the club's history. They competed in the New South Wales Rugby Football League's 1941 premiership, finishing regular season 1st to claim the club's 10th minor premiership. Easts then progressed to the premiership final which was lost to St. George.
